Banking Points

I'm a new member of DVC just bought in June 2010 on our trip. Received bonus of 100 points for August 2009. I'm confused on how to bank these points. I want to use them next June 2011. When can I bank these points? Do I have to do it by a certain date? In August I will receive another 100 points which is my UY which will give me 200 that I want to use for my June 2011 trip. Very confused - when I go on DVC members website it shows my August 2009 100 points but says my banking is at 0%. Will I not be able to use these points in June 2011? Thanks to anyone who can help.

Be sure you have them banked tomorrow. If the Guide or person at MS cannot help you do this speak to a supervisor. It may have been a simple oversight, since your banking deadline was several months before you purchased.

We bought into VGC a couple of weeks ago. We originally planned an Aug UY but ended up going with Dec UY. Our guide said he would bank the 2009 pts for us if we were to go with Aug UY, so you may want to check with your guide too.

We also just purchased, actually just last week and our guide was originally going to give us an Aug UY and said we could bank the points. I would as suggested call memebre services. I believe they do make exceptions to the banking window routinely for new owners. Also congratulations on your purchase and "Welcome Home".

With an August use year, you would normally have to bank by March 31. But they make an exception for new members buying direct.

Called MS today. Had no problem banking my 100 points from my August 2009UY to an upcoming trip in 2011. Because I am a new member they waived the banking deadlines. Thanks again everyone.
