banking and trip date

Hi. Could someone tell me if this is correct? My UY is June. We are planning a trip in April of 2015 and will use our 2014 points. Am I correct in believing that if I make my reservation in October of 2014 (7 months out) I do not have to bank anything? Thank you!

If I understand the question I believe that is correct. A June UY with 2014 points can be used between June 2014 and May 2015.

In determining whether you need to bank, or borrow, always look at the dates you will be there and wipe from your mind the dates you call to reserve. April 2015 is within your June 2014 use year and thus those are the "current" use year points for that trip and no banking is necessary.

If you have more points than the April trip we require, you need to bank those by Jan 31, 2015 or use them by May 31, 2015. If you must cancel the trip, do so before Jan 31 to be able to bank them, or you will need to use them by May 31, 2015.
