Banking and Borrowing

Apologies for the super basic question but I want to make sure I get this right before I do it:

I have an existing 2021 reservation that is made up of:
* 100 points banked from UY 2020 into UY 2021
* 100 points from UY 2021
* 100 points borrowed from UY 2022

If I cancel or shorten the reservation more than 3 months before going and before the end of the UY, how many points are eligible to bank into UY 2022?

(I think the main thing I'm uncertain about is rebanking points that have been borrowed, but there are a few other assumptions I may be wrong about too.)

Borrowed 2022 points will remain borrowed and must be used by the end of your 2021 UY.
You may only be eligible to bank 2021 points (as long as you are within the 1st 8 months of your 2021 UY when you cancel/bank.)

Thanks. Slightly more complicated question: if I shorten this hypothetical reservation by 50 points, will it free up the UY 2021 points FIRST so that I can bank those later? Or can the order of how the points were used influence which points are freed?

It will always free up the least restricted points. So, the current UY points will be the first ones back in your account.

If more points are freed up than you have current UY points in the trip, then I am not sure which ones are freed up next.
