Banked points question

I have some points that I will likely bank into August 2020, but I haven't opted to do so yet (might do a quick May trip). I just made a reservation for November from that contract, and since I didn't bank yet, it's using 2020 points. If I do bank 2019, will it automatically use the 2019 points first? I don't remember having to choose before. TIA

It will not automatically switch the points but you can do it online yourself via the modify function on the reservation or call MS to do it.

Once you bank the points, they will be in your account for use. As already mentioned, you can then go into your current reservation and modify it. Go through the booking process and just don’t change anything and at the end, it will pick up the banked points and free up your 2020 points.

The other option is to call MS and ask them to do it for you!
