bank points after getting new contract

I have a reservation with my existing contract,
now I am adding resale contract with same use year and same home resort,
it has some points banked from previous year and some points borrowed from next year.
Can I assign points from my new contract to existing reservation, so I would bank points from my existing contract (and attached to my current reservation) to next year?

Yes, as long as you have the points to reallocate at least 31 days before the trip, or the freed up points go into holding.

However, even if you are within that window, I’d still contact MS to ask if they will do it and wave the holding since it’s a new contract. Sometimes they will do that!
