It might be a new card and maybe nobody knows, but I am wondering if DVC dues and loan payments qualify for the Travel category. I just opened this card because I can pick my 3% cash back category each quarter and for the first year, it give another 3%. So, 6% cash back on up to $2500. per quarter. When I look at the categories that I can choose, I'd benefit the most for choosing travel, especially if it counts for DVC annual dues. Anyone have experience with how annual dues code? How about loan payments?
SOLVED: Both get the 6% cash back in the vacation category.

Honestly I'd think that the online shopping category would have the best chance of working!

That might be the way to go - buy discounted gift cards online at BJ's Wholesale at ~4% discount then get your 6% cash back. Boom, 10% savings on dues!
I'll have to do the math. I don't have a local BJ's so I would end up buying a membership just for the gift cards.

I wasn't even talking about the gift cards but yeah that would probably be the best route for this card. I was actually thinking that using the card directly on the DVC website to pay would trigger the "online shopping" category. For years I've only kept it on online shopping and I basically get credit for any electronic transaction I make. Gas apps have coded. Anything Paypal of course. I've paid for utilities. Almost anything that's not a POS at a brick and mortar has worked so I have a hunch paying dues directly would also work but yeah...gift cards are the way better way to go!

Your lucky - It almost never works on online utility payments for me.

It's such a great catchall card if you have Platinum Honors. I always figure even if a transaction doesn't code as online shopping I still get more cash back than any other card would give me. Unless I'm going for spend to meet a sign up bonus I'm using my BOA cards.

I have solved my question. Both DVC dues and loan payments code as vacation and get the 6% cash back (for the first year, then 3%). When the card came, it came with an extremely detailed list of what counts and what is excluded in each category. It said Timeshares were included. I made a prepayment on my dues and an extra loan payment and they both show in my account as having earned 6% already. I can change the category each month. However, there's a cap of getting the bonus on my chosen category of $2500. in spending per quarter. The vacation category is much more expansive and generous than the Disney Visa.

It also gives 2% back on groceries and warehouse clubs all the time. I have a lot of cards and none of them have offered that. So far, so good with this being my new daily use card.

Sigh, I want to start using it for my dues now to get that sweet sweet PH multiplier, but I think I need to keep all my dues on DeltaAmex (with its stingy rewards points) to shimmy over the bar for diamond medallion.

6% is pretty amazing. I wonder if a DVC direct purchase qualifies. I don't have any BofA card so I don't know how it codes.
