I have a lot of change that I want to get converted to dollars. Does anyone know if Bank of America does that for people with an account? I can't seem to find that information anywhere.

You mean regular coins? You can convert it but you have to roll it yourself - they'll give you the little paper roll things but they rarely do it for you or accept loose change other than a small amount

Note: Some banks require that "official" paper coin rolls be used instead of making your own wrappers out of note paper or paper bags.

All banks will take rolled coins. Our credit union has a coin machine, you just dump in unwrapped coins and it prints out a voucher for your $. It's free for members.

My Bank of America near my house has a coin machine you can use...but I haven't seen it at any other branches.

at walmart by us you can drop your change n one of those machines and get FULL value but only if you get a gift card for it...they had lots of choices...otherwise you get a fee charged for cash.
BOA by us takes coins but they must be rolled in papers (which they will give you) and you no longer have to put an account number on each roll.

Amazing how fast all that change adds up :thumbsup2

We use the Coinstar machines for Apple gift card. DS play games and is always buying something for his ipad.

As soon as his uniform for cheerleading is paid for, we will cash in our change and buy him another gc.

Our Bank of America does accept rolled coins. I would call though because the first time I took rolled coins they unrolled all of them to put them in the coin machine - the 2nd time (and every time since) they required that they be rolled. But they were happy to take them.

The Chase I worked for required only unwrapped coins for the coin machine. We just took the customers coins and dumped them in.

We are saving coins for our trip. We will use a Coinstar machine as there is no fee if you get a grocery store gift card with it at Stop and Shop. I'll just use the grocery gift card for that part of out monthly budget and trade out the cash in our bank account to trip gift cards. I just don't want to spend forever rolling, and our BOA doesn't have a counting machine.
