Bands, Brew & BBQ

We were planning to go to Sea World on Sat Feb 12, but I see they are having Bands, Brew & BBQ that day. Has anybody ever went to this & is it worth going that day? I'm worried that it's going to be super busy.

There will be alot of people at the park that day, however most will be enjoying the bands brew and bbq activities. Obviously there will be beer and bbq and a concert at Bayside stadium starting at 4:00. The park isnt horrible on this day. You can still really enjoy your day. And go to a free concert if you want. Plus, you may get a Shamu Rocks show at night. Shamu Rocks is a different show than the Shamu day show. Shamu Rocks is only performed during certain days during the year, so its not a show that everyone usually gets to see.

I think it's worth it for the BBQ alone,so it's definitely worth visiting on these days.Around 11 am or so they open the BBQ food booths and the BBQ buffet in the pavillions special events area.We've done the buffet the last two years and they basically have everything a BBQ buffet should have and more.Then the concert starts at 4pm and runs for an hour or so.You can also check out the one at Busch Gardens held on Sundays,the difference is that they don't have the buffet but instead food booths from different areas known for BBQ like Memphis,Carolinas etc..Two years ago we went on a perfect sunny day to the one at SW and everything was packed along with the Hall and Oates concert at the Bayside stadium.Last year we went on a cold wet day and with temperatures in the 40's and the buffet had like 1/200th of the people that were there on that previous visit,they even had to move the concert indoors to the theater that holds the cirque style show.The next day we went to the event at Busch Gardens on a much nicer day and as expected it was packed, but so worth it.
