My 8 yr old twins are not afraid of the water in a pool - not great swimmers, but can swim, but will they be scared to death if they are knocked out of the Banana Boat? Do they give you life jackets to wear? :earseek:

Regarding the snorkeling, does the price quoted ($25A $10C) include the equipment? If not, does anyone know how much equipment rental is?

Thanks for your replies!

I have never done the Bannana boat ride, but i have seen pics and everyone was wearing a lifejacket. fyi everyone i've heard from whose done it said it was a blast. As far as snorkling goes the $25 you pay is just to rent the equipment because you can bring your own and snorkle for free. We paid for the equipment rental last time, but this time I think were just going to bring our own and save the money. Oh, they loan you the life vests for free. have fun! :teeth:

Can 8 year olds do the banana boat? I know there is an age limit but not sure what it is. I went last time and loved it. You do wear life vest and can get throw off into the ocean, there is a spotter on the boat watching for those who get dumped so they stop the boat and get them.

My kids thought the Banana Boat was the best part of the trip! My youngest was 9 years old when we went. They all wore life jackets and had a blast! As far as snorkeling, we bought our own before we went and were glad we did. They had a set at BJs that included the fins also and a backpack type case to carry it all in. It was great during the snorkeling excursions, my kids carried their own. I purchased snorkeling equipment for my husband and I at Wal-Mart. I don't believe I paid any more than $10. We rented the fins during the trip, just because adult fins were so big. We plan on doing the same thing for our next cruise in April.

As quoted from the Disney Excursions booklet regarding thte BBR:

Guests must be 8 years and older and be able to swim. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

Hi MomofTwins-
I have an 8 yr. old DS and we will be on the 4/24 Wonder cruise and I was wondering whether he can do it= have you decided if your twins will do it? Are you on the same cruise?
