Just booked my family on the Disney Magic October 28, 2017 sailing from New York to the Bahamas that stops at Port Canaveral.

I know that my cruise will include a one day park hopper ticket. I'm pretty sure that I read that I will get a confirmation number in advance to make FP, but how do I get that? Will I get an email? Email to my TA?

Thanks for any help and experience!

I'm going this October. The email we received stated we would be able to use the 3 preloaded fast passes anytime/any park we want to.

Oh, that's right! They're like bonus FP, right? Don't have to be pre-booked?

I think the 3 FP+ that come with the DCL ticket are IN PLACE of the normal 3 you would book in advance not IN ADDITION TO.
So instead of you now needing a My Disney Experience Account, and linking confirmation numbers, the tickets Disney gives you will come with 3 anytime fast passes. You can you use those 3 without limitation it would seem. So you could in theory use them on Soarin', Test Track, and Frozen Ever After, all Tier 1 attractions at EPCOT.

When you look at it, the Magic is probably cruiseing with 2400 folks on it, split among 4 parks, only 600 additional people in the park with any time fat passes. They won't all chose the same attractions at the same time so the impact to park operations should be limited. It would be no different than receiving an anytime fastpass because an attraction suddenly closes for a malfunction or weather.

Right! Sorry, I meant that they would act similarly to a bonus FP that you might get in the park--one that can be used for any ride at any time.

In WDW speak, those are "unrestricted" fast passes. Not requiring a specific attraction or time slot designation.

You may simply walk to the FP queue of any ride with a FP queue, at any time, and one of your three FP entitlements will be used.

We were planning to book three fast passes using our Annual Passes, IN ADDITION to the 3 anytime ones DCL give us. As long as we use our annual pass to get in to the park that we have the three booked at, I can't see why that won't work? :confused3

We are a family of four, and our two boys are very excited at the prospect of attempting the four park challenge - something I probably wouldn't contemplate without the extra fast pass choices! :thumbsup2

I believe that will work-- so fun, enjoy the challenge!

I'm not sure, but if you use your AP to get into the park, and not the ticket DCL gives you, then the anytime FP would not register off your magic band. I think??:confused3

Okay, so use the APs to get into one park and the one DCL gives you to get into another.

But here's the thing.... if you were just a normal park attendee, you would get 3 FPPs you could book in advance and then 1 more, as you use them. So, if you use the 3 global FPPs that DCL gives you, can you then get any more, even if you just have to book them in the park?
