Bahamas?? Alaska??? BAHAMAS! Dream coming true June 21-26, 2011

OMG you're hilarious! the brother with the no shirt syndrome...lol :rotfl2: no it all too well..

and my 3yr old is the same way...as soon as he walks in the house, he starts shedding his clothes and runs around in his undies.

I'm so glad to hear that everything is going great with you! I was just thinking about you the other day also, wondering how things were going with recovery and whatnot.

I know EXACTLY how you feel. I had IBS for a while and it went away after 6 months. I was constantly uncomfortable because I couldn't stop eating dairy. Seriously my entire diet consisted of dairy products daily! Cream in my coffee, cereal in the mornings, yogurt, cheese on sandwiches, chocolate milk, ice cream, etc etc. It was horrible and hopefully it will go away soon :goodvibes

32 days until we fly out and 31 till we actually board the ship! :woohoo: I'm getting VERY excited!

Just yesterday, we FINALLY found out our stateroom number. We requested to be near my brother and he's about 30 doors down. My brother was not very happy. I swear, we're NEVER using a TA again. PLUS, we still don't have our flight information! I like to have all that in order because it gets me super hyped, but still the waiting game unfortunately

So now you're paid in full...are you pretty much all set to sail?

Yeah, I never wanted to give up dairy and I always knew I should. I feel so much better though.

Yes, I am so ready to sail!!! I am on Cruise Critic all the time, and there is a Roll Call board...I have been chatting with some of my fellow passengers, one of whom is getting married on the ship the day we sail! One of the people on the thread is arranging a meet 'n' greet on the first full day at sea, so I am going to go and meet some of my fellow passengers. DH and I did that on our last cruise 5 years ago and it was fun...we ended up at a margarita tasting with one of them, and we had a blast!

Your cruise is just getting closer and closer...you can almost count the hours! ;) You must be so excited...there's nothing like your first cruise. Just wait...it's food heaven, drink heaven, entertainment heaven, non-stop pampering and relaxation and partying! You will fall in love! :lovestruc

You're back! :goodvibes

Me too! I haven't updated my TR in almost a month and I went to do it this morning and saw that it's been closed!!! :sad1: I guess that's what happens when life gets in the way.

Anyway, I want to hear about the end of your DL trip!!!!!!!

:lmao: that is too funny!

Yeah, so i'm assuming, whenever I take a picture with my brother he'll be shirtless  Maybe I should get one of us at dinner where wearing a shirt is MANDATORY! :rotfl2:

I guess there is a facebook for our cruise, but i'm unable to fine it. I didn't want to participate in the FE, but I really do want to grab a drink or two with some DIS people. We'll see what happens I guess!

I'm super excited, but feel like nothing is done. I have the swimsuits but no cruise wear..I don't even know what cruise wear IS! :lmao: I know I want some cute dresses for the dinners, and comfortable, light clothing for during the day. And I know there is a pirate night and I know i'd like to dress up for that, but don't know what to wear :sad2: I just need help!

But other than these details, i'm super ready! This week i'm setting up an appointment to get a spray tan, and then i'll set up another one a few days before the cruise. Same with underarm and brazilian wax a few days before.

You're back! :goodvibes

Hi there!

I can't believe they closed your thread! That sucks :sad2: I'm surprised they didn't close mine as well since I wasn't on here for a while!

But it's good to see you again! :goodvibes :cool1:

And as I was writing my update for my trip on thursday, my computer died/freaked out, and I lost the entire thing  I was so frustrated and I wasn't inclined to write it again. So second attempt this afternoon...

That's a bummer! How do you write your TRs? I had a friend who kept having that problem, she would write them on the DIS and kept losing valuable work. I started writing mine in Word so I could keep saving them. Once I had it where I wanted it I would copy it over to the DIS and preview it. I haven't had that :headache: frustration since I started doing it that way. :thumbsup2

That is what I did for my WDW TR, and I completely forgot about doing that! Thanks Alison, i'm going to continue doing that from now on :goodvibes

I just found your pre trip report and realized that not only are we on the same cruise but DH and I are also celebrating our 5th year wedding anniversary too (we were actually married July 15th 06).. and we are down the hall from you in 10545 (inside stateroom)!

Wow! Very cool! We were married July 21, so technically you've been married longer than us! :goodvibes That is too funny!

We should definitely get together if you want! Just send me a PM! :)

Today was going to be a very exciting day so I woke up early, got ready and came out of the bathroom and saw this:

Ayeeeeee! :lmao:

So I woke DH up and told him to get dressed quickly because I was just too excited!

We needed to get to Guest Services in front of Disney’s California Adventure before going into any park today and I wasn’t sure how busy it would be, since after all, this is Spring Break for a lot of people.

We’re FINALLY out the door and arrive to guest services at 720ish, with only 2 women in front of us and I felt so bad for these women. I overheard their conversation with the CM’s and apparently, these two women were in charge of holding all the tickets for a group of 60+ students (young kids like 12 years old) and they had lost 2 tickets. They were definitely freaking out, both of them talking at the same time and speaking fast to the CM’s, not sure what they should do. And without missing a beat, the CM printed out two new tickets for them without questioning or disciplining them. It was seriously awesome! :)

So what’s the reason for us being at Guest Services? Well, a very awesome and kind friend :goodvibes made reservations for my family and I to partake at the famous CLUB 33 for my birthday!!!!!!! You have no idea how excited and nervous I was! I think it was more anxiousness rather than nervousness, but I definitely had the butterflies! But, with a reservation at Club 33, you get a one day Park Hopper pass for each member of your party, which worked out SPLENDIDLY because we originally had two day park hopper passes that we were going to use for that Saturday and Sunday and skip Friday altogether. But now that we had this extra day, we decided to go to the parks all 3 days!

The CM gave us all three of our tickets (even though mom was still sleeping back in the room) and we were off to explore the parks before our 12:15 reservation!

So we ride on a few things, Space Mountain, Peter Pan, and the Matterhorn. We didn’t stick around too long because we needed to go back to the hotel to pick up my mom and get changed for our lunch. But DH had never been on the double decker bus before so we decided to take that back to the front of the park while I shot some pics! And it really is a great way to take some pictures without having to stop in the middle of 'traffic'...

I have yet to eat here, but maybe someday

We got back to the room around 10:15am and changed and left the room after 11. We wanted to make sure we got there in plenty of time, so we checked out some of the shops near the restaurant and I took a couple pics of the fam.

It’s about 12:11 and the suspense was killing me, so we walked up to ring the doorbell, but there was another party waiting at the doorbell, so when the CM opened the door, she just asked for our name and were let in. DRAT! I really wanted to press the doorbell!

We waited in the lobby and watched as the family before us, go up to the second floor in the elevator. So neat to watch it go up!

IMG_2318.jpg

Haha this picture is funny. As mom was taking this picture, DH said, I don’t want to take any pictures we look like tourists! LOL! I’m like, duh dude cus we are!

IMG_2319.jpg

So just to make sure, I asked to hostess if we were allowed to take pictures and she said to snap away as many pictures as I like! So DH finally felt comfortable after getting the go-ahead so we took a picture in front of the elevator.

IMG_2320.jpg

The hostess was absolutely incredible and so talkative! She asked if we wanted to take the stairs or take the elevator and of course we opted for the elevator! But I snapped a pic of the stairs anyway

IMG_2321.jpg

Going up the elevator was so incredibly cool! And at the top, we were greeted by another CM who asked us if we wanted to wait in the parlor (? There may have been another name that she said) So of course, I took some pictures!

After about 5 minutes we were seated! And while we were watiting for our server, I took a picture of the plate and the menu!

IMG_2328.jpg

IMG_2327.jpg

After our server took our drink order (2 glasses of Chardonnay and 1 glass of Pinot Noir), he told us to go and get our appetizers/salads, which I swore we took a pic of but don’t seem to have it! However, you can kind of see my plate here in this pic. There was salads, cheeses, fruits and cold seafood like crab and shrimp! YUMMMMM!

IMG_2329.jpg

After our plates were cleared he told us, we could go outside onto the balcony located behind my chair and take pictures so OF COURSE I had to do that!

It was finally time to eat!

IMG_2345.jpg

(Also don't know why I didn't take individual pictures of our plates, but you can make out my mom's and a little bit of DH's plate)

DH ordered the lamb chops with polenta. Oh gosh, the lamb was ridiculous. It melted in your mouth quite literally! Oh so we’ve been hearing awesome things about the truffled mac and cheese, so DH wanted to see if he could sub the polenta for the mac and cheese, and instead of subbing it, our server gave it to him as another side! He also did the same for me so we wouldn’t’ have to share! What a swell guy!

I ordered the Filet Mignon…..I finished the entire thing. I was so embarrassed considering I had two plates of apps/salads. And for the love of everything, if anyone ever gets a chance to come here, PLEASE try the mac and cheese! It’s disgustingly good and rich! ….i ate all of that too…

IMG_2346.jpg

My mom ordered the Free range chicken breast, which was actually delicious! I would never have ordered it myself, seeing as how I can make a chicken breast at home if I wanted to, but it was super tender and had the most fabulous sauce on it!

After our meal it was time for dessert! Which is the most important part of any meal, IMO!

IMG_2349.jpg

See all the desserts? Yes, we tried every single dessert! I took a few on my plate, DH took a few on his, and my mom put a few on hers, so we were all able to try everything without being greedy! AND on top of that, I ordered the chocolate martini, which was recommended to me and is absolutely incredible.

IMG_2348.jpg

AND on top of that our server brought out a chocolate molten something…I don’t remember. I just remember being on sugar overload and super happy and content…and I ate half of it still even after all the desserts I already ate

IMG_2347.jpg

Ugh, it was time to go. And I didn’t want to. I had such a fabulous time with my family. BUT there was one more thing that I needed to do….check out the BATHROOM!

But first a few more pics!

IMG_2350.jpg

This is the bartender who made my to-die-for martini!

IMG_2351.jpg

And see that table?! This table was in Mary Poppins!

IMG_2352.jpg

And here’s me in the bathroom! (don’t worry I made sure no one else was in there!)

IMG_2354.jpg

The toilet! I wonder how many people have actually forgotten to lift up the seat?!

It was very weird walking out of Club 33, because when the doors opened, there was a TON of people right outside the door and everyone was trying to look in, some even tried to walk in!

This was one of the best experiences of my life! And now I can actually say I’ve been to Club 33, when not many people can say that. This was actually on my ‘Bucket List’ and I never thought I’d be able to scratch it off my list so soon and I’m forever grateful to my good friend

--------------------------------------------------
Now i'm not sure what happened, but I have no more pictures from the rest of that day or the next day!

I'm thinking what happened was that DH cleared it from my other camera (I always take two camera, one point and shoot, and one dslr) and all my crappier pictures from the point and shoot, got erased

So now I can't update the rest of my trip! At least I got the most important part of the trip THANK GOODNESS!!

All you really need to know is that I had a FANTABULOUS time on this trip! Nobody was throwing up (which is always good) and everyone was in a very happy mood!

Sounds like you had a fabulous lunch, but I would seriously chastise your DH for erasing your pictures! :lmao: That's serious doghouse material!

LOL Alison, you have no idea!! I like to capture every Disney/vacation moment I have, and to not have my birthday weekend pictures KILL ME!!! Thank goodness we have TWO couches he can choose from! :rotfl2: And he's not even getting NEAR my cameras when we go on our cruise in a few weeks ;)

It's June already! Your trip is getting so close! I can't wait to hear all about it, we so want to do a cruise!

Hey are you planning checking out Star Tours this week??

Oh and have you ever been to Boston?? I have two free airline tickets through Southwest that need to be used before next March and we're thinking of going to Boston and/or Portland...

I forgot you're not following my last TR about the WDW Destination-D Convention...I posted a small segment in there last week about how I rode Star Tours on a preview day last week. I've been on it 12 times now! :thumbsup2 Very cool ride! Don't get your hopes up about the 54 different rides, technically it's possible, but it's really about a dozen rides. However regardless it is still Very Very Very cool!

I was born in Boston! :rotfl: I must have spent at least a month of every summer growing up there with my grandparents. It's a great city, and there is lots to do in the outlying area too. It's hot in the summer, but not as bad as WDW. You should sub in on my friend Sharon's TR, she's one of the Aussie's following my Pre-TR and she has started a retrospective TR from a trip she and her family took in 2007. She's just about to go to Boston in her next installment.

I think you would like all the stuff about the WDW history, the event was fascinating! They covered part of it at the seminar and then I got to ride it the next day at DHS. It was great to find out they were having previews last week. Yesterday I did the Little Mermaid ride, cute and really well done, but I wouldn't wait more than 30 or so minutes. Not going to be worth the 2 hours that the lines will be like on Friday!

I can go on about all the Boston stuff we did as kids, but I think it was always the same stuff, ride the street car into Quincy Market, go shopping, see Paul Revere's house, go to Cape Cod...it was a lot of fun to go back there as an adult and pick what we wanted to do!

Just wanted to hop over and say hi! We are getting so close...dh and i will also be celebrating our anniversary (the 22nd will be our 4th) can't wait...too close now. We leave on the 15th for wdw...hopefully I'll see you on board maybe at the disboard meet!
