The creek is swollen to capacity and we're due for more rain today and tomorrow. That means impassible road. That means finding somewhere else to sleep for a few days while the water is up so we can get to work and school. LAST week when this happened, we stayed at in-laws. Called hubby when i got there and told him it was a bad idea as the water was coming up there too. He didn't believe it would get deep. I didn't argue. It did. We were stuck ANYWAY! MIGHT AS WELL HAVE STAYED HOME!!!!!!! UGH!!! So now there's a big debate (AKA: Disagreement) over what we should do tonight. If I could afford a hotel, I'd just do that, but can't...so won't. :/

If it would just NOT RAIN, that would be nice.

OK....vent over.

It stinks having to do that, but....

if I lived in a place that was prone to flooding, I would have an emergency fund set aside for hotels, supplies, etc. You can't control the weather but you can be ready for it.

If I were in a place financially to have an emergency fund at all, I would. But I'm just not right now. Such is life. ;)
