Bags on rides?

What are the restrictions like for taking bags onto rides? I was recently at Wizarding World and you really couldn't take much of anything onto the rides, which made for major locker congestion. I haven't seen much talk about this so I'm assuming/hoping Disneyland rules are looser, but thought I'd ask for some experiences to confirm :)

I don't think any of the attractions forbid guests to bring their bags on the rides. I usually put my bag on the ride vehicle floor or on the seat next to me (if there is space). I've also seen guests wear their bags in front of them (if it's a backpack) or across their body. The only restrictions are that the safety equipment (lap belts/bars, harness, etc.) must still be able to function. Many of the thrill ride attraction vehicles also have small mesh holders in the front of the seat to put stuff (doesn't fit much). With the exception of GRR, none of the attractions have lockers at the ride entrance. GRR has lockers (not free), for guests to store their stuff in you don't want to get it wet.

GRR was the only ride I used a locker to put things in while I went on the ride. In 2014 March the lockers were free. Not free all day but for something like two or three hours. After that there was a charge to keep the locker.

Ever other ride, I put the bag at my feet. Some rides have a place for the bags, like Soarin', California Screamin, Star Tours, Space Mt to name a few. Indy has a hook to hang back packs on.

Regarding Soarin', it is wotth noting that if the bag does not fit into the pouch under the seat, you will have to leave it (along with any shoes that might fall off easily) on the ground/floor.

Most rides have small mesh pouches that you can put stuff in. I have a draw string type back pack that I usually just put at my feet during the ride.

Awesome, I won't worry about taking something microscopic then. Thanks everyone!

I carry a full size backpack in the parks and have taken it on every ride. The only exceptions I'm aware of were noted above, Soarin and GRR.

Thanks! Cash only or can we charge to the room if we stay on resort?

Not sure on that. It's a self service place, but I think there's usually an attendant around somewhere. I just swiped my credit card.

and up.

We paid $10 for the locker we rented in DCA on New Year's Eve. I think it was the second-largest size. You pay at a kiosk. We used credit card. I'm assuming cash would have been an option too, but I didn't actually check.

I should have specified. The $7 was for the smallest size locker.
