Bagless security queue in the evening?

Last year, I spent a week in a hotel on Harbor and found that they rarely had the bagless line open in the evening. Now I am looking at a one night trip for Moonlight Magic and won't be entering until 6pm on the Harbor side. Any ideas on if going bagless will be helpful in getting through security for the event? Thanks!

I've never seen a line more than 2 or 3 people since they redid the checkpoints and created the whole line of them across the front. Last month they only had half of them open on a Sunday at opening and there still weren't any lines. Does security back up much anymore? Maybe I'm just lucky?

Went this past weekend and security was sooooooooo much faster than our previous trip.

If that is the way it will be going forward, I don’t see much need to avoid bringing a bag if it would be helpful to you.

Yes, the have vastly improved the security process! Just got back a couple days ago, and in the evenings, they didn't have a 'no bag' line, but security checkpoints were only 2-3 people deep, so there was no real need for it. I did go to rope drop one morning, though, and security lines were about a 10 minute await to get in. (They DID have a 'no bag' line open that morning, and those without bags walked right through.)

hubby went through the so called bagless entry in October and it took longer than the regular chutes where we were. They were not regulating it. That being said, I agree with the other posts that Harbor security is MUCH faster now.
