I know I've seen posts about specific bags that DISers like carrying at the parks - can you remind me? I'm looking for something light, and I'll probably take the bare necessities plus a camera. Thanks!

I found my bag from ebags.com. It's a baggalini; I got a sling bag that is worn across the body. It has lots of pockets, mesh pockets on the outside for water bottles, and was super light to carry around every day.

I like the travel bags by Eddie Bauer. Lots of different styles, sizes and colors. They are very reasonably priced too. I have had several and they work great.

Just make sure that you have one that is waterproof and completely zips up (so items don't fall out on rides and make it harder for theft).

I can't remember exactly where I saw it but they have a thread on the boards that people posted photos of their bags and I know for me it helped a lot.
It may have been under the "parks" thread.
Hope that helps and you can find it.

I got a small backpack from Academy Sports and Outdoors. It is the Austin Clothing Co. brand. It has one main compartment, one smaller, and then a front pocket, and two side pockets for water bottles. The straps are padded.
It is big enough for snacks, wipes, sunscreen, camera, poncho, etc...

Not too big, and it was only $4.99!

I bought the bagglinie from ebags but find in all my outing I like my sling bag from LL Bean better. It is a tear drop shape. On is med and one is larger.
They are a nylon. My first one had netting see through beach type motif from years ago. then I got a Nylon sturdy type.

My bagglinnie can get heavy on my shoulder, I need something with a padded strap that will go across and distribut the weight in the tear drop design works well.

the bag sits against me and I can reach in for the camera, grab my water and zip areas hold the goods.

I have never paid more then $19.99 for any of the bags with links from friends here, clearance bags on the sites and registering for their email.
I received one good until Sunday for ebags with I think 20% off and they have 70% off many bag styles right now.

At $39 it is more then I generally spend, but it is the shape I carry better, My bag has more bells and whistles. Maybe if you search ebags or the internet you can find a similar.

Oooh thanks, looks great

I just spent nearly 2 hours reading the thread which someone linked to on here about bags.

And I still have no clue what I am going to get to carry all of our junk at WDW!

I have 3 kids - 8, 6 and 3. I assume I'll be toting:

  • extra set of clothes for the 3-year-old
  • sunscreen
  • wallet
  • tickets
  • tissues
  • pain meds
  • ponchos
  • sunglasses (I have to wear prescription glasses, so I will need to carry my sunglasses and switch all day long)
  • camera (small digital) and extra batteries
  • 3 autograph books & pens
  • snacks
  • hand sanitizer
  • wipes
  • water bottles (at least one for me)

There's probably more! :rotfl: I just don't think I can get away with a cute messenger bag, can I? I hate the thought of a huge backpack, but I think that's what I need with 3 young kids. At least my DH can help carry a backpack!

I would have a bag in the stroller for the change of clothes and autographs books...like a large ziplock and just carry the rest in a purse size bag, like a baggalinni or a vera backsack. That way you can keep valuables seperate.

The Baggallini looks great! I use something similar... A sling backpack from Jansport. It was comfortable and held just about all the baby stuff.

I am carrying a small Vera Bradley backpack (not the large one.) I will also have a bag on the stroller, so the backpack will only be the things I don't want to leave- wallet, camera, sunglasses. I wanted something very light so my back/shoulders won't kill me.

I tried the Baggalinni, but didn't like the way it layed across my chest. I hated sending it back because I loved everything else about it. :sad2: So the search continued until today...this is what I found. Has anyone given this bag a try yet? I ordered it from the Crocs website and paid 19.99 with free shipping using a code I got on the boards. Many other websites sold it for much more than Crocs. I love the way it has the jibbitz holes like the shoes, thought I could decorate it with Disney jibbitz! Anyway, I hope it works out. I will let you guys know when it arrives.

Very cute bag! Did it have dimensions?

Not that I could find. It states that is fits a laptop so I guess we will see. I did google around and was able to find several people selling the same bag, different colors, on Ebay that had pics of the inside. That front zip pocket has a key fob and organization pockets. The inside has a zipper pocket on the back wall. It also has a place for water bottles on the sides. Couldn't tell too much, I just liked the shape and fell in love with the colors. :goodvibes

if you decide you like the Baggellini. I got one there for 12.99 and one for 19.99. I like the baggellini because my husband will carry it too. He is a big guy (6ft+) and it fits him too. Vera Bradley wouldn't match too many off his outfits.
