We are going to MK in 7 days....2 hours :cool1::cool1::cool1:...for our first family trip!!!....I am taking a double umbrella stroller for my kids (DD4, DS 2).... and was trying to decide on a bag. I have several backpacks to choose from, and one messenger type bag. I think I can fit more in a backpack. DS is not potty trained, so still have to take diapers and wipes as well.
Also planning to take a soft sided cooler with snacks and juice/water.
Any and all suggestions/advice would be so appreciated!

I always bring backpack with plenty of compartments! So I would put baby things in one comparment, papers in anothers, snacks in another, etc. messanger bag wouldn't work so well I think because backpacks distribute the weight evenly, and the messanger you would get a sore shoulder and would keep switching back and forth from arms.

I just carry a backpack. It's big enough for the juice boxes, snacks and sandwiches I carry for my girls, my dSLR, as well as some odds and ends like tissues, sunscreen, lip balm, sunglasses (I put that stuff in the front pockets). I don't have to worry about diapers since my kids are older, but if you're going to have your snacks/drinks in a cooler that would definitely free up enough space inside for diapers and wipes. The main benefit of the backpack, for me, is the ability to balance the weight more evenly if/when I want to. A shoulder bag holding everything I take would be killing me by the end of the day.
