Let's get the bad news over with. I'm not going to be able to have a Disney Wedding. I sat down with my fiance and we decided that it wouldn't be the best for us even though we both love Disney. We're both very family/friend oriented and we want everyone to be able to attend out wedding. So we're having it back home. But the good news is, we're doing the Disney Cruise for our Honeymoon!!! So if anyone knows anything about this, let me know!! I also wanted to thank everyone for all there help! All the ideas are still helpful!! Best wishes to everyone!!

Congratulations on making a very unselfish decision together!! I'm an old married woman(25 years on Dec26th).Your families are I'm sure very happy that you've considered them in your decision. Have a wonderful Disney cruise!

I too am planning a disneyhoneymoon. 3 nights at Animal Kingdom lodge and a 4 night cruise. I actually got engaged on the cruise last october and i highly reccomend dinner one evening at Palo! The setting is more intimate than the family dining rooms and the food is incredible!

I want to wish you the best of luck, and we still want to hear about your wedding plans and honeymoon. are you going to incorportate disney into your wedding at home at all? best wishes

We haven't decided if we're going to incorporate Disney themes yet. We may, or we may just go ahead and have a normal wedding and then go all crazy with the Disney cruise. Oh, quick question. I was looking on the Disney cruise website and didn't mention anything about Cruises in Oct. Do they do them or is that an off season for them? Thanks!

You could always go with a Disney theme at the reception...I did that for my 'at home' reception. It was a hit.

We did the 7 day Disney cruise for our honeymoon. It was AMAZING! We had the best time and a balcony. I would reccomend the Exotic Rasul, and the couples massage.

Okay, you all said to keep in touch with wedding plans. I found this amazing house near my town called Hazehurst House. It is absolutely beautiful!! It has a southern belle kinda charm. Perfect since I'm a GA girl through and through. The best thing about it is that I can do everything through them. They do all the catering, floral, and things like that. I don't have to worry about going through outside vendors. Everything is in one place. So hopefully that will take a little bit of the stress off. We are going to incorporate a little bit of Disney in the reception. I had the idea of the Theme being Wish Upon a Star, and Dreams Do Come True. Something like that. I'm not a huge floral girl so for the center pieces at the reception, I'm putting a small mirror in the middle of the table, and placing this spiral candle stand with little tea cup candles going up it. I'm going to place smaller candles aroung the edge of the mirror. And then place small gold crystal stars all on the mirror so that when the candlelight hits them, they'll sparkle. I'm going to mix it up at each table and do it a different way. What do ya'll think? As soon as I can get a picture of it, I'll put them up. :sunny:

Oh, and I have a website on the Knot that I'll post as soon as I can get done with it. :lovestruc

oooohhhh that location is beautiful. I'm sure your wedding will be fantastic, what time of year are thinking of?
I really like the theme idea too for the reception. Looking forward to seeing the centerpiece idea

It's going to be an outdoor wedding in October for all who don't know. I want to hold both the ceremony and reception outside under the stars at night. I want to start the ceremony by 7 that way the sky will be getting darker and by the time of the reception, all the stars will be out. Can you tell I have a thing for stars!! :rainbow:
