Thursday 27th October 2011

Today was our last “At Sea” day.

Breakfast today was at Parrot Cay and was our character breakfast.
We all had our photos taken with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Pluto.

Look at that cute little Mickey waffle

We didn’t finish breakfast until gone 11 and then changed and went up on deck for sunbathing, reading and cocktails of course.

We had a swim in the pool, which had transformed itself into a fun wavepool due to the rocking motion of the ship which was quite bad today. The weather was very hot with much less breeze, but we were moving very fast so the sea was quite choppy.

We had lunch at Topsiders which was a seafood buffet today.

We sunbathed a bit more in the afternoon, then I had a nap while Tony went to watch a movie.

I then joined the others to watch the kids club show which featured all the children singing and dancing, which was very sweet. Some of the children were very young and there appeared to be only one size of t-shirt which draped the ground on some of them!

It would have been better if the kids club CM’s didn’t keep hogging the limelight and dancing in front of the children though. I only managed to get one picture of Matthew and Daniel as the CM was constantly blocking our view.

We got ready for dinner (semi formal night tonight), then met up at the theatre to see ‘Disney Dreams’ which was very good.

After the show, we queued for formal photos and took a few of our own, then met up with some of our fellow ‘Parley-ers’ and had photos taken at the Mickey statue.
These two photos of daniel are the photo pass ones:
I love this one

Matthew, Ellie and Daniel. I'll take this opportunity now to say what an absolute pleasure and privilege it was to go on holiday with these three. They are a real credit to their parents and we love them dearly.

Our semi-formal dinner was at Animator’s Palate and was lovely.
Waiting to go to dinner, Daniel was pleased to meet up with Abi, his new girlfriend from the Kid's Club.

Me, Joh and Tony all chose the pork stuffed with ham and cheese which we all enjoyed, Gary had beef tenderloin and Nat had lobster. The children all chose meals from the children’s menu.

Joh and Gary also shared a lobster but didn’t think it was particularly good so gave it to Daniel to try, who promptly declared it delicious and ate the lot.

For dessert we chose: Tony – rainbow sorbet, Joh – chocolate lava cake, Nat – cheesecake, me and Gary –banana crème brulee (TWO for Gary!), Ellie – chocolate bread pudding, which she didn’t much like, so Tony and I finished it (love bread pudding).

Here's Gary, caught with two creme brulees on his plate:

After dinner we all reluctantly decided it was time to get a bit of packing done so we wouldn’t have to rush the next day. Our gratuity envelopes were waiting for us when we got back to our room so we completed those after Tony made a trip to Guest Services after spotting that our assistant server’s name was wrong. For those who don’t know, the suggested tips are now automatically added to your bill for your Server, Assistant Server, Head Server and Stateroom Host and if you want to change the amount you can either go to Guest Services or, in the case of adding more, pop cash in the envelope.

Tomorrow: Castaway Cay!

Gary wants to know if you were on the same holiday we were :rotfl2:

Seriously, Tee, we had an absolute blast with you all. I am tearing up here, not only because of what you wrote about the kids but because we're nearly at the end of the trippy. The day after tomorrow, we have to say goodbye :sad1:

I seem to remember that being the most relaxing day of the cruise - we literally did nothing all day and it was fab :thumbsup2

Are you starting to crack over next October yet ;)

Another great day and write-up!! :thumbsup2 The kids looked fantastic in those photos!

OMG... Those photos look so delish!!!

Did anyone find the mysterious chocolate buffet on Thursday night? I read in these forums that there was one on 7-night cruises, but couldn't find it myself. :confused3

It was a lovely day, wasn't it? And I totally mean it about the kids.

It's a shame we can't afford to do both the October cruise AND the Med one. But we probably wouldn't have enough leave anyway.

A chocolate buffet??!! That would be amazing! We saw no sign of one, though.

I can't wait to go on a cruise with a sea day - looks so relaxing. :cloud9:

Lovely photos. :)
