We'll be at WDW this year around Christmastime. Every year we want to try something new. Never tried any of the tours. We've narrowed it down to Backstage Magic, Keys to the Kingdom, or Yuletide Fantasy. What sounds good for 2 adults?

we did Keys to the Kingdom in June 2002 and loved it haven't done the others
there is a lot of walking and lunch was included
and even though the literature said we would not be entering through the "back door" to get on some rides we did do that with jungle safari (is that correct?) and the Haunted Mansion
hope this helps :D

Backstage Magic is great for two adults, tho it does take most of a day. You get to see other parks, as well as "backstage" MK. Our last tour, lunch was at mama Melrose in MGM.

I vote for the Yultide Tour. You can do the others at any other time of the year. It is a wonderful tour and the guides are great.

We've done Keys and also enjoyed it very much. I don't know about the other 2, but have friends who have done both the tours at the AK and say they are fantastic. Wild by design sounds like something we would like to do.

DW & I just got back from the world and we took the BSM tour. What a time! We were supposed to be with a group of five, but the others cancelled out that morning, and we got a private tour!

You start in Epcot, and we saw the inside of the American pavillion as well as the ride mechanics of Body Wars. We also saw the costuming areas and repair shops. We then moved along to MGM where we saw costumes being made - what a process! We saw them making Ariel's new costume (they were cutting each scale of her fin), and then had lunch at Mama Melrose's. Luch was served family style, complete with appetizer, two entrees, and our pick of dessert (the chocolate mousse is to die for!). We then made our way to MK. We went behind the scenes to see the staging area for the parades, and saw the barges that carry the electric water pageant. We then went to the specialty shops. We saw the metal, carpenter, and sign shops. We learned about Cindarella's Carousel and the horses, and we saw several of the new Epcot ride vehicles being made. We went into the largest Christmas warehouse we have ever seen, and then went into MK to see the utilidors. Afterward, we were escorted down Main Street and told stories obout each of the windows and the significance of the writing on them. We finished by watching the afternoon parade.

If you have the opportunity (and the funds) to take this tour, it is well worth it IMHO.

We did the Yuletide tour a few years ago and really enjoyed it, it was a three hour+ tour. Its only available a small portion of the year. (The best portion was the time in the World Showcase, when our little group of 4 were the only guests.)

I'm going to disagree on the Yuletide Fantasy tour...because it is seasonal, the guides can be very hit or miss. My guide was friendly enough but really did not have a good grip of the information and on certain things was completely incorrect. The tour was okay but I think the other tours are a better use of your time and money.

thanks TiggMan for the great review of BSM. i have this tour booked for may and i can hardly wait.
