Can anyone suggest a certain backpack or bag for daily use in the parks? We are planning on taking a few bottled waters and small drinks for the kids and other essentials like antibacterial wipes, sunscreen, snacks, park maps..etc... I would rather just take one backpack and keep everything in it but I don't want something so bulky it might be hard to ride rides... Any suggestions?

I'm a backpack girl. After much searching (and a couple of returns) I bought this:

http://www.ebags.com/ameribag/spiral_backpack/product_detail/index.cfm?modelid=92885

It's quite small, but holds a lot. Notice that it doesn't have padded shoulder straps, which indicates that it is a smaller backpack. The padded straps make me way too hot. I won't use it at WDW until June, but I really, really like it. It'll be my purse for the whole trip, but will also easily hold 2-3 water bottles, rain ponchos, camera, sunscreen, cell phone, and a couple of souvenirs. I got the blue color, which is really pretty.

Many years ago I found the Ameribag. I've had nothing but one of these bags since then. They come in several sizes and fabrics, at home I use the small leather one or the extra small microfiber bag. For trips, I have a medium nylon one. This trip bag is light weight and has so many pockets (zippered and open ones) that I can find anything with ease.

I don't know how it works, but this bag feels much lighter on your shoulder than it actually is. Many people are amazed at how much I can pack in the bag and how light it feels. And I can adjust the straps to wear it on the shoulder or across the body.

Another plus, the bag packs flat in my luggage when I need to bring my laptop case and don't want to carry two bags.

You can get them online - ebags and many shoe sites, or at the Container Store IRL.

I just bought a Vera Bradley Hipster to take on my upcoming cruise, very cute but for WDW I used a lightweight Nike Gymsack. Can't post the link (have to have at least 10 posts first) but Lady Footlocker has them. I have seen ones at Kohl's that have an outside pocket for a water bottle.

Civita Shoulder Bag - through "Rick Steves" travel web site.

Lots of compartments and very lightweight. :thumbsup2

I use a fanny pack and a small back pack. Then I make one of the kids carry the back pack, that has all the autograph books and cameras in it. Then in my fanny pack, I keep all the ticket, fast passes and money.
