We first visited Fort Wilderness in 1990. I was 15 then and it was our 3rd time to "the world" but only our first time on property. We had driven our travel trailer from Texas for a 3 week "extravaganza!" I think we ended up going back early though. I was 15 and my brother was 12, and well you can only imagine how well we got along...
Well now that I'm "grown up" I'm not as into camping as my parents were. Call me spoiled, if I pay that much for a vacation I want housekeeping lol. I don't so much mind the idea of camping, but I'm more of a "go along for the ride" kind of gal I guess lol. I'll keep you company by the fire and roast your smores, but hopefully you know how to set everything up and take it down! Oh what's that? You want me to turn that handle over and over till the hitch pops out? Isn't there a button you can push to do that?
Yes despite my parents best efforts, I'm a city girl! But I do like that feeling when you're camping, being outside, the smell of the trees, grilling, and the one thing I remember is... there aren't any nicer people in this world than campers!
Anyways, DH and I decided to bring DD3 to WDW this summer and my parents are coming along. The cabins are the perfect thing for a city girl like myself... camping, with mousekeeping! And it's all already set up for you! What could be better?? Oh wait I'm on the camping forum, don't answer that!
We will be going the week of August 24th, I can't wait to experience it all again and see if things were how I remember. It looks like there won't be too many people there the week we are, but we'll be circling the loops in our golf cart just the same
Nice to meet you all!!
