Back To The Future The Ride Sequel

Yes - they've made over $2 million on those Nike MAG auctions so far (and it's still going for another few days), which Google is matching, so that's a ton of money for the Michael J. Fox Foundation, which is amazing. :thumbsup2

I don't see any of that leading to a new ride, though. I loved the BTTF ride (they're my favorite movies), but it had been there a long time and it was bound to close eventually.

I was more bummed that they didn't have anything there for the 25th Anniversary last year. I was there a few weeks before the blu-rays were released, and I was hoping there would be some BTTF related anything at the park about that (a t-shirt, a poster, anything!). But there was nothing, which was disappointing.

They did still have the car and the train though, and I did get to meet Doc. :thumbsup2

I'm in that minority that actually loves "Twister". Closet thing to actually being in a tornado without that whole "dying" thing. It'll be a sad day for me when and if it closes. But not as sad as when BTTF closed.

We also really enjoy Twister. Though the preshow is a little long. But then, we have seen the movie numerous times and still, every time it comes on TV we're like, "Oh, Twister's on. Let's watch it!"

We will also always stand in the front row if at all possible. Totally different experience. If you're not in the front, it's just not as good.

I only rode BTTF once before it closed. I thought it was great (though a little rough), but it made my husband sick for the rest of the day.:sad2:

Don't need or want BTTF at Orlando.

Middle-Earth, Pandora, Planet of the Apes, Gotham City, Skull Island, The Land of Oz...

If only 2 of those 'lands' went into USF over the next decade, then that park would be the equal of IOA.

Interestingly, Universal seem to have theme park rights to Oz already, as it is featured at USJ in Osaka (not to mention Kong which is Universal IP). And let's be honest, if and when Middle-Earth ever gets realised, that will be at Universal too. I just hope they don't change an island at IOA to accommodate it.

But my other suggestions such as Avatar and Batman would be great too. Re-theme HRRR to Batman and take away the music. Change T2:3D to Avatar 5D.

And Amity needs to become Middle-Earth, and quick.

I don't miss the BTTF ride at all. Rode it once and was very sick and never rode it again.

Personally, not a LOTR or Avatar fan, so neither would do much for me. Think Universal only owns the international rights to Oz, which is why you don't see it stateside. Gotham City would be cool, but pretty sure Six Flags has that locked up. I would love to see a little mini-land based on Skull Island though. That would be awesome.
Or even a little haunted village type area with all of the Universal Monsters, maybe with them in a Haunted Mansion type attraction.

I certainly wouldn't complain about a new Back to the Future ride, but I think this or Middle-earth is the best idea. My husband and I love, love, love BttF, but the ride never did much for us. We rode it everytime we went but just out of love for the movies, not the actual ride. It was a rough ride for him, maybe because he's 6' 3".

Please help with out petition then! We're all going to pas this on to Universal Studios for an official response.

I am also one of those that loved bttf and only got to ride it once before it was gone and would love to see it back but think they will not bring it back cause as of right now potter is their money maker.
So I think your best bet is look for more stuff to to replace by potter for right now
