Our trip in April involves 2 nights at Disney prior to the cruise (AoA), and then 2 nights at Disney after the cruise (AKL).

I made reservations for lunch at AKL for 1:00 pm. It looks like you arrive back in Port at 7:30 am so we should be good right?

How long does disembarkation take? What time can I expect to be back at the resort?

Thanks!

You should easily make it for a 1pm lunch reservation.

Depending when you disembark (do you have early or late dining - that will determine what time you have breakfast on the last morning) you could potentially be back at Disney between 10 and 11 am, if all goes smoothly.

We live in North Orlando and my DH always goes to work once we get back from the cruise and he is there before 10:00 am, so you should have plenty of time to make a 1:00 PM lunch.

When we sailed on the Dream last June, we had late seating, took our time getting off the ship, got the shuttle back to POR and we were at Epcot by around noon.

Oh, I should mention that while at POR we checked in, moved some stuff around our suitcases and repacked a day bag, changed my daughter's clothes and applied sunscreen. We were probably there for 30 minutes or so. If we were prepared to give our bags to bell services right away and jump onto the Epcot bus, we probably could have been there by 11:30. With early dining and not taking our time, probably 10:30 or 11.

Just as an aside, I don't know if you are aware but you can ask Disney to store some of your luggage if you don't want to take it all on the cruise with you. They will take it from you at AOA and deliver it to AKL for your check-in on your return from the cruise.

It's a good idea to contact the resort before arriving to confirm this.

Really? We have done it several times now and never had to check. In our experience, if you are staying at Disney both before and after your cruise, they will offer this service (and have for us every time).

thanks. I was wondering if they would actually hold stuff while on the cruise. I'll keep that in mind when I get down there.

That would be amazing!!!

And we have early dining...

We can usually get to Disney around 9:00am but don't normally do breakfast on ship. The last several years I did the online check in and received a text on way to hotel that room was ready. With magic bands was able to go straight to room!!
