Back...Nickelodeon trip report

The CM at ASM gave my kids two balloons at check in before she even pulled up our reservation .I also saw another kid with a balloon in the lobby. If you look at my trip report I clearly said that there were two cm's and one left to get another who told me about the upgrade. My kids got the safari mickey keychain toys at AKL when they confiscated the balloons . My son cried when the balloons were taken away and they replaced the balloons with the keychain toys. That was really nice of them and it wasn't expected .
Few people read every board here. This is the first post on the Budget Board that clarifies the chain of events, or makes any mention of AKL swapping out a substitute toy for the balloons; it's also, I believe, the first that makes reference to a trip report.

I didnt see your last thread but dont understand why people would bash you for being a single mom with 2 kids traveling to wdw?
I genuinely don't believe anyone criticized the OP anywhere here for being a single mom with 2 kids traveling to WDW. Likely tens or hundreds of thousands of single parents take children there each year. There's more to it than that.

You suggest that the OP let the old thread die and start fresh with this one. At this point, you seem to be the only one who won't let it die. Just a thought.:confused3

No. All I suggested was that she delete the paragraphs in the original post in this thread, so it doesn't get shut down for violating DIS Board Guidelines.

My other posts were direct responses to specific posts in this new thread. They appear consecutively because nobody else was reading the thread at the time.

Ok, that's cool.

It's been a while, but our first trip to Disney was in 2009. We stayed at the Nick Hotel. I loved it as well. I mention to everyone how that can be a trip itself. My son loves Nick characters more than Disney. So we both we happy (I love Disney!).
Our rooms were clean, all the staff polite. We were on the floor level next to the pool. If I remember right our rates were $150 a night WITH a military discount. We are going again this winter and we are staying there again. This time it's cheaper. I guess because it's a different season we are going.
Thanks for sharing your trip report :)
