We then moved on to the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor...(BTW it pained me greatly that SpaceM was closed for refurbishment...I love SM...ironically I have an easier time on SM than on Splash which both Alice and Hatter think is bizarre but that is just the way it is...
I always like to end up at the MK...I don't know why...I think because when everything is said and done...The Magic Kingdom is kind of the crystallization of everything that I love about Disney...the best of Americana, fairytales, adventures and scary but not too scary stories...you can be a princess, a pirate, a fairy or just a huge fan of the beginnings and the best of movie magic...so for whatever reason it's a tradition to spend the last morning here...
YUM! That sounds good.
3 ways to do it on the banners.
1. Upload whatever pics you want to photobucket at the "small" or whatever is smaller than that size. Put them in your siggie side by side, no space. You can fit about 5 I think at the small size before it will run down onto the next line.
2. Do a ticker that lets you create a banner with pics or lets you put one on either side of the actual ticker.
3. Create a new long collage of the pics you want and upload that. For me that never worked as the sizing somehow got off but I'm sure I just wasn't doing it right.
Sounds like your Halloween was not all lost in illness!I am glad that you still managed to have some fun!
I can't believe that your TR is coming to an end!! It was so much fun to read along! Thank you so much for your Wave review, as nodnol already said, it really confirmed our feeling about it! It looks like a great hotel restaurant and if the CR were in any other place (as it easily could be), I would be very tempted to eat there. But WDW offers other places that just are more special!
nodnol and I will travel to Nuremberg together in about two weeks and I think we really should take a DLP map with us to spend the tiem on the train discussing our recommendations for your new PTR! By the way, I love the title!! I am so bad about coming up with titles, I hope nodnol as the writer (she has a degree in journalism) will be of some help with that...I just read on a DLP website that their "celebration" next year will be the next generation of Disney characters: Tiana, Remy, Woody, Buzz, Lightning McQueen... Oh, and did you notice that the Euro is dropping? It wasn't supposed to do that until February 5...
I guess you were really unlucky with the time when you paid your down payment for the appartment... So was I in August when I paid off a huge chunck of our Disney trip. Exchange rates are a nightmare!!! I am so glad that we don't have to bother with that anymore in most of Europe!
Chelsea is still not back to normal yet -- still running a fever -- but insisting she feels well enough to go to school. Sigh. I hate that she is missing so much school.
I can't wait to hear all about Alice's birthday party on Friday -- I am sure there will be some "fun" stories about that.![]()
Cool. I am totally up for this tour. We will do a Philly DIS meet. I've lived in Delaware for a bagillion years, so I don't remember much about Philly, except how to get to the airport and the zoo. I don't think that counts.![]()
Center City is about all I've been to...I did a pretty cool project there back in the days of the big green dot.
Loved the area.
Last day so sad![]()
I love the Plaza as your accidental last meal tradition. It is such a great place. Not trying to be anything fancy, but has that great view of the castle. It's my favorite place to eat in the MK
And camera scareI know how horrible that feeling is. Congratulations on your calmness. My camera scare involoved serious tears and trauma. I must commend your excellent self control
I'm sad that your report is coming to an end, but excited for you to start your PTR![]()
Wow I would have been freaking out about the camera! What a relief!
How do I not know about the Plaza? I don't think it's ever been on my radar.
I'm looking forward to hearing about it. My DD9 has a just like me doll and a bunch of clothing but we have never been to the actual store.
Patricia - I am so glad that your camera was turned in by a good person!
Last day? Already?I still have to get back and see your Pirates updates but ahhh, a PTR to look forward to as well!
Thank heavens for the positive outcome on your camera! My stomach would have been just churning away and I don't think I could have done anything else either until I had it back again. I like your MK and Plaza traditions... I've never considered the Plaza before. Not sure why, it just never came up.![]()
Well, I've only been on the SM in DL and DLP and on Splash Mountain 17 years ago... but... it is my theory that rides in the dark are much "easier" than the ones where you see where you are going. I had the most horrible roller coaster experience this summer (which flossbolna and I still have to report on in her PTR) and I'm convinced it wouldn't have been so bad indoors and in darkness.
I really enjoyed your TR and am lookung forward to your PTR!!!
Oh my! What a horrible experience with the camera, but thank goodness for the kind person who turned it in! Whew!!! Although I had to smile at the Hitchcock reference.![]()
Oh my! One of my big Disney fears is that I will lose my camera or drop it and it will smash to a million pieces. I am so glad you were able to find it! PHEW!!
Oh I'm crying right now for you!!!! I just can't even imagine that stress....I too would be devastated. All those memories captured...
And then it's found!!!!!!!!!!!!What a RELIEF!!!
What a nice afternoon, turned horrible, turned magical!
A big THANK YOU kind random stranger who turned in the camera!!![]()
I always worry about losing our camera. Luckily, DH is very good about keeping up with it. Thank goodness for good samaritans!
Aack!
Ok I knew it had been found since you've posted pictures that were on it but how stressful! We think about those last few hours, capturing the last bit of magic before we leave and to have some of it eaten up with that kind of stress....
I've always though the Plaza would be good for an OOP lunch, I could never justify using a TS on it but it's cute! Fun that it just happens to work out that way, I love those kinds of traditions!
Even though I knew you must have gotten the camera back (you posted pictures of the Pirate Cruise...), I was still on the edge of my seat reading this chapter!
Denise
Patricia - this paragraph is so Perfect. This is exactly how I feel. I like to start and end at the MK. Can I borrow this paragraph when I get to the last day of my TR!Kidding.....no, but seriously, can I? I think that would constitute plagarism on the DIS boards. Can I get kicked off for the that!!!!! LOL!
I still have a few episodes of your TR to catch up on, but I really enjoyed your last day. I am so glad you found your camera. That was absolutely perfect timing. Phew!
I also really love the Plaza. It's such a great little place to eat! And its right in the thick of things with its proximity to the castle and tomorrowland.
Patricia...
I would have been completely freaking out w/ you on that one....
sorry your last few hours in MK were disrupted by the missing camera...but the magic kept on going
J~
Yes for finding the camera!!!!!
Boo for having to leave....
The Plaza is becoming a must try......
I'm so sad it is over!!! I have enjoyed all of your photos & I love your writing style. I'm SO glad you got your camera back!! By the way- I watch Dexter, so I appreciated that reference.
I will definitely be subscribing to your PTR!
hi just read in some of your replies about Em having the Felicity AG doll...that is one of the dolls Aldine has, she also has Josefina (that was her first) She wants to get some of Kirsten's clothes or accessories for Christmas before that doll and her line is retired at the end of this year. In just a few weeks Mae is turning 7 and for her b-day she is getting her first trip to the AG store downtown and tea there too. I think she has her heart set on Ruthie, Kit's bf.
I love these dolls...Does Em still have her's out or is it all packed up![]()
