Back from the Fort

Hi all!
Back from the Fort trip. The weather was sooo much fun. Ran the AC on Wed. setting up, Thur. AM was perfect weather, Thurs. PM wet, wet and wet all night into Fri. PM. Fri PM cold..., BUT, neither rain, nor sleet nor gloom of day can stop us at the Fort.
Here's a couple of pics to start out. They're of the pool reno. I could only get 3 before getting fussed at, but not much to see anyway.
Will post more later. Had lots of requests to take care of.

See the 3 guys in the corner to your right. They did the fussing. Even offered to snag my camera. So I walked over and struck up a conversation so they would realize I wasn't a SPY.
In fact they said they would be adding a kiddie play area by next year in the area they were standing in.

Here's some 600 loop pictures. What a mess. Looks like we are losing some beautiful trees. Sure hope these new sites are worth it.

Help me out...where were you standing and which direction are you looking with those site pictures...

The first couple of pics, non rain ones are taken from the Meadows Trading Post area, just outside at the picnic tables, in fact here's 2 more pics, ah, standing on the table.

Shot from picnic table top. You can really see in this shot how many nice trees are going to be removed. Ouch.

Directly behind me is the Trading Post and to my right is the water

The "rain shots" were taken right as you enter the loop and looking to your right.

I think the fort is beautiful in the rain. I dont feel the same way when Im actually THERE, IN the rain.....wondering if my tents going to hold up or not. But seeing it in photos is a whole different story. Very, very nice.

Thank you, love the Fort in the rain too, but this rain started at 2PM and lasted all night and into the late morning. I felt so bad for the folks in tents as it was cold, by Florida standards, in the 50's.

Very well said!!! Man, the amber reflection in the puddles of the lamp posts gives it such a classic Disney cartoon (Peter Pan, Lady & the Tramp, The Rescuers) feel. Youre a hell of a photographer, Campster!!
