Back from Sat.Buffalo shopping.

Hi. What a blast. The border- 5 min to get over at 8:00am then 5min to come back at 5:45pm. Four of us spent around $80.00 each, then DD's boyfriend spent over $250.00. He was the only one that had to pay, around $40.00. So go and have fun.oh at the Mrs Feilds, you HAVE to buy chocolate chip cookies with cream inbetween.MMMMMMMMM

that is unusual, you are lucky. I avoid the weekends, maybe people stayed away because of the snow storm?

We were there Sat too (flew to WDW yesterday) and it was a ghost town compared to 3 or 4 weeks ago. We got to the Galleria around 5 and parked in the 2nd row. The time before the line up was out onto the Thruway. It was a nice surprise.

We went down last Thursday/Friday and I expected it to be busier.

Karen...there were some nice sales, but nothing amazing unfortunately.

Had no problem at the border coming back - sailed right through and the guy didn't even lean forward out of his chair to even look in the truck. We were way over our $800 limit for 48 hrs - told him exactly how much we spent, and he just said "Have a nice day!" Damn...I should have bought more!

All week, we wanted to go...weather kept looking iffy and too many times I have driven back and said NEVER again without scrutinizing the forecast first! Looks like this week is a no-go..so next Mon of Thurs we are hoping for. I HAVE to go as I have been mailordering like crazy and have to go pick the loot up at Lewiston! I am on my way to Guelph now to deliver Shelby back and hoping the roads are ok there?!?! I HATE winter driving!

Hi Minnie, can you tell me how this works, there are some things i would love to order but don't deliver to Canada , so i wondered about the mail ordering. Do you pay a fee?

P.S. I hate driving in Buffalo winter too, last year when they had that big snow storm that powered down the city for 3 days, i decided to do an evening trip over in only a sweat shirt! Was i in for a shock.. i am just so glad i drove home, otherwise i would have had to stay 3 days and shopped!!!
