I’m just back from 3 nights at Santa Fe Hotel. I have every intention of writing a trip report but for now here are some observations of my trip.

This was my second visit to DLP and was just as magical as the first. The weather was awful but didn’t spoil our fun. Staying at a Disney Hotel was definitely the right choice for us as although we only spent 2 days in the parks we were surrounded by Disney from the moment we checked in until the moment we left (oh my, I sound like a commercial!).

There is nothing yet in place for the 15 year celebrations although a few things like paper cups and napkins are bearing the logo. There is a lot of building work going on. The area to the front of the Studios appears to be being resurfaced and is fenced off. There are hoardings outside the left hand side of the Disneyland Hotel but I couldn’t see what was behind them.

There were lots of hoardings inside the Studios. So much so that to get to the Studio Tram Tour you have to walk down a corridor between the works for the Tower of Terror and Toontown (if I remember correctly).

The Village seemed to be decked out for Chinese New Year and the shops were getting there frontages repainted while we were there. Annette’s Diner is having some sort of work done to it. It was still open but had a VERY limited menu on offer.

I’ve taken some pictures of the Tower of Terror and hope they come out OK. One was taken from the Moteurs stunt show and the other from outside Cinemagique.

I’ve made copious notes so hopefully I’ll get my report onto the UK reports board in the next few days.
