This trip - DH, me, and my MIL and FIL - Free Dining & no kids this trip :woohoo:

We arrived in Disney World on 9/22 and returned to Real World on 9/30 We "met" about 5 or 6 Dis'ers! Hi HayGan!! :wave2:

(Did anyone else see me? - see last pic below!)

We were in Bldg 2. We could see part of Illuminations at night, as we were on the 3rd floor. Rooms were very pretty. The A/C was really noisy. Not sure if it was just ours or if they all sound that loud (my inlaws didn't use the AC so I don't know about theirs). We had to shut it off at night. The fridge took two days to get beverages cold - then, they got so cold after that, a few of them burst! We had to move the cans away from the back of the fridge, and they were ok.

The walk and boat to Riverside was wonderful. I read somewhere that it takes just a few minutes, it took us a good 10-15 minutes at a leisurely pace from Bldg 2. We had dinner at Riverside (Boatwrights) our first night (awesome!), and we went sightseeing at riverside another afternoon by boat. We went to cane pole fishin area, & pool bar. So relaxing, and as others have said, you often feel as though the resort is empty!

FQ food court (food area) is small (I'm used to Pop's food court). We were even given those beeper things to let us know when a simple breakfast or pizza was done! IMHO - these women wouldn't last a day at Pop! One evening, my in-laws waited 45 min for a couple of the small pizzas, only to find out they were never even made up! They ended up eating an apple for dinner in their room since they were so upset.

Mine & DH's experience was that a couple of the guys were really quick and helpful, so after a few days, we actually tried to find something from whatever menu the guys were at. I should have taken a picture of the look on the "dessert" lady's face when my DH would request a milk shake since that item took a little longer than handing him a brownie and she had to "work" a little! He was being a mischievous DH (kind of like a little freakin' kid, actually!), as he did this a couple of times - just to **** her off! :rolleyes1

We did think that the food was very good once you finally get the food! Had cheesesteaks, chicken parmesan, and a few different breakfast specials.

The pool and pool bar were nice. We spent quite a bit of time there, (we didn't get the water park option this trip). Pool was not very crowded (and almost no one was in the hot tub any time we saw it, we went in it once:hug: ). The slide is very short and kid oriented. Didn't stop me from sliding down it about a million times though!

Here is a couple of night pool pics:

French Qtr is fine for small kids, but it is set up like quaint little streets, so there are "curbs" that you need to be aware of especially at night & the food court icons could be a little scary for little ones.

Well, now we have stayed at four resorts (so far!). ASMu, Pop, OKW and POFQ. I love the way each resort has its own style, and I would be happy to return to any of them. (although I am DVC-OKW dreamin') but I see myself staying at Pop or FQ too!

Oh - here's us !!
Thanks for reading and for all your help - you guys are great - although my DH doesn't love you all like I do because you "make" me DIS-OCD!!

Nice pics from FQ. We were there in April----not a good experience for us....that's all I'll say.

You took some nice pictures of the grounds though, we didn't take many pictures of the resort itself.

Very nice pics! We just got back from POFQ and had a great time. Oh, the A/C in our room was pretty loud, too!

Okay, please explain the title to me! I'm probably the only one who doesn't get it, but......what does it mean?

Loved your pictures, especially the nighttime ones. The mask-thing is a little scary, though!

Great review!

Great pics. They are making me even more excited about our trip (didn't think it was possible). We will be at POFQ on Wednesday.

Here is what the focker watcher thing was all about.

http://www.disboards.com/searchbt.php?search=focker+watcher&order=1&user=&scope=4&cat=1&frm=-1

Then, a very nice Dis'er went out of her way to order lanyards (what I am wearing around my neck) for us to wear in the world and they say, "Team Focker Watcher" on them. I bought 4 (for next to nuthin) - but of course no one else in my family will wear one!

Diser: *MickeyFan* is who had (or has) them for sale.

They are not (in my opinion) sturdy enough to hold much more than a LGMH paint chip from home depot, but they did get me noticed by other Dis'ers!

Does that answer your question Carebear84?

Yay! And I hear those pesky love bugs are all but gone! And the temps are much more mild. You are going to have a wonderful time! Just be sure to take time to relax at the resort. I loved it later in the evening and early in the morning....

And !! Look closely at the tops of the stairwells!! We saw these all over when you stop for a moment and look...:goodvibes

have a magical time!

how did your baggallini work out?

It's great - it is lightweight, I barely notice it when wearing it. It swings around to the side on the rides. It does have quite a few pockets in the sections, so my advice is to try to keep things in the same pocket or you will find yourself holding everyone up while you are looking for your _____ (fill it item here!) :lmao: - Yeah, that was me for awhile. Then I got one for my mother in law too. Everytime we went to get a fastpass it took her a few minutes to go thru every zipper compartment to find it. (I bought it on ebags.com)
