Howdy all!!!
We are all back safe and sound from our trips; me from Florida and Jeff from Japan.
Note to self: Never EVER go to Florida in the summer again.. not ever...not even if they pay you one million dollars!
Holey Moley..... the heat and humidity was so bad. Worse than I ever remember. The crowds were unbelievable! Only Epcot was do-able.
We had a really great time though in spite of how uncomfortable we were.
We tried new places to eat and even went on some attraction that I had not gone on before, including the Timekeeper (the ice cold air they blow out the door enticed us in) and the Carousel of Progress (who can argue with sitting in the cool darkness while being entertained?).
I saw Philharmagic for the first time and was utterly enchanted... I went back twice (thank goodness for fast passes).
My 3 year old was nuts for Buzz Lightyear so several nights I took him and the 9 year old back around 7 and got fastpasses so we could ride it again and again.
A note to anyone going now or soon... bring those bottles that squirt water and have a fan attached.. we brought misty-mates (they are portable misters but unless you have a way to make the water evaporate they do absolutely no good.. they only make you wetter then you already are) We ended up buying the expensive squirt bottles at the park and they were worth every penny though I did wish I had purchased some cheaper ones at home.
We are planning on maybe one more trip back before our annual passes run out.. in the cool winter air!
