I'll post a trip report later. Just wanted to come on to say our trip is over.
It was a great vacation. It was exhausting at times, but fun.
We got in mostly everything I had wanted. There were of course a few things I would have done differently or wished went our way, but all in all it went great!
We did Disney Mon-Wed last week. We stayed at the Disneyland Hotel. I was a little disappointed with the view. I got the Dreams Tower, renovated room, but it was only a standard room on the 3rd floor facing trees and downtown disney. I made reservations for a resort/pool view room? I didn't have to pay for the upgrade remainder that I owed, but still. I don't think my husband or kids cared, but I did. It was the point. I love the location of the hotel and the monorail right there. I wish the monorail had more stops. The pool is nice, but I understand them planning an upgrade. I hope they include a larger bathroom, dressing area with lockers or something.
I think we managed the first day well as far as rides and lines, but it was only Disneyland, we started in Tomorowland using the monorail, bounced around some to Frontierland and Adventureland. I thought I wanted my 3 year olds first walk in to be through the gates, but going on the Monorail was just fine. Never got to California Adventure or the pool and we napped at the hotel once we got into the room around 3pm. Rain Forest Cafe for dinner was a hit with my kids. It was fine. We watched the fireworks!
The 2nd day was harder. It seemed we did Magic Morning good doing Peter Pan first and Fantasyland and Toon Town, then it went down hill from there with rides, lines, California Adventure, etc. I'll post details in trip report. We avoided World of Color. Didn't get to the pool again. Goofy's Kitchen was disappointing for us; not as many characters.
Everyone was exhausted. We rented a stroller for my 7 year old then shortly after it got stollen.
My 3 year old was almost 40 inches probably, but he road Star Tours and got all the way to the front of Thunder Mountain Railroad and got turned away.
He just cried. I was so sad for him. Why do they do that?
The 3rd day we did a few rides we hadn't gotten to and repeated some we liked. Then we finally did the hotel pool and shopped.
We left around 4pm and got back to San Diego around 6pm. We hit a little bit of traffic, but it wasn't bad.
The rest was San Diego - Sea World, beaches, and cookouts with friends. It was a lot of fun. I can't wait to look through all my pictures and video.
Anyway just wanted to give an update. Thank you all for the advice and suggestions leading up to our vacation. It did help and hopefully my trip report and sharing my experiences will help one of you.

So he wasn't excited and waiting in the line only to find out he was too little.
