We decided on Friday morning that we would drive down that evening and this is how it went...
Booked thru Hotwire and got Caribe Royale for $115 a night. It was nice, but kinda boring. Hotwire said it was a 4 star, but I give it a 3
Started at HS and the crowds were moderate. Met Sofia first and that was great. Headed to as Sci Fi Diner which was nice. Food wasn't bad, but our party of 3 was crammed in that little car. I asked our waitress and she asked her boss if the Frozen princesses were anywhere in any of the parks. They both were positive that they were not (I was skeptical because a friend had posted pics of them last weekend). I ended up asking the question on this board and got the right answer
Went to the Movie Ride. Which DD really enjoyed. Some of the sets seemed to be spruced up, or was it just me? On to Disney Jr live,to see the new show....very cute.
Next we moved over to MK for an early dinner ressie at Be Our Guest. It was nice, the menu was small and the character interaction was minimal at best. Definitely don't get the hype over that one. Why don't they have a group sing Be Our Guest on the hour, every hour? I was really surprised by how average the experience was. Back to the park, it was PACKED. We could barely walk it was so bad. We rose the Magic Carpets, Barnstormer and Dumbo and admired the lights on the castle. Annoying CM award goes to the girl at the Magic Carpets. I asked if she knew what time the parade was and she shrugged her shoulders and then just stared at me. Thanks for that. Went to get seats for the parade and a very nice family let DD sit up front with them. We waited 90 minutes and it was more than worth it. I hadn't seen the electrical parade in probably 20 years and I was so impressed. It was beautiful and the character interaction was awesome. Almost every character/ dancer either waved, high fived or blew a kiss at my daughter. She LOVED it and that made the trip for me. We did some shopping snd headed out. I was surprised how long we had to wait for a tram at such a peak exit time. We were first in line for the tramand had to wait close to 20 minutes before we saw the first tram??
Woke up this morning and made our first trip to Chef Mickeys. Character interaction was pretty good, the food was eh and it was $96 before tip for 2 adults and a child. Expensive, but the character meals get me every time. LOL
