back from our Christmas trip!

Just got back fro our trip. It was amazing!!!!!

Thoughts on staying on site..
the kids were so excited. they used the pool. They were able to walk back to the hotel from the parks or from DTD or from dinner. We stayed in a three bedroom suite and it was perfect for us.We had a view of the front of the hotel in Fantasy tower. The gingerbread house was not in the lobby like last year. Santa was on site and DD and a few of the adults took pics. Overall the hotel was wonderful!!

thoughts on MaxPass/rides
used it last year with just a group of 4 & wasn't sure how it would go with 12 people. It worked great. No issues at all. I would book a MP and they would scan in with their own ticket. It helped out so much. By 2 pm we had done 11 rides and had breakfast at Minnies. All at a very relaxed pace.

thoughts on upgrading hopper to AP...
I went to the ticket booth the day before going to the parks to upgrade.I as greeted at the lines by two CM directing people. I told them I was upgrading from my PH that had not been used yet. They said I would lose my MM. I told them I was staying at DLH and we get EMH every day anyways so it would not be an issue. They said that was not true. That I do not get EMH every day that with my stay and I would lose my MM. I told them I had stayed on site last year during the holidays and had PH and also to EMH every morning. They suggested I talk with the Guest service at the hotel because basically whatever they say about EMH goes. So I went back to ask and they said that since I was a guest at the hotel I would get EMH no matter what type of ticket or pass I had. I went back later at night upgraded with out asking questions. And used EMH every day.

Thoughts on dinners..
We ate at Goofys(dinner), Minnies, PCH Grill( dinner), Storytellers (brunch), Storytellers (dinner). out of all of them everyone in our group preferred Goofys.

Overall we had a great time. We did all the must do rides and so many more. The crowds were good. The busiest day was probably the 23rd. DtD was busy and both parks seemed busier than the other days. Basically it got busier as it got closer to Christmas.

Dang, that sounds expensive haha. 22nd was great at DCA, we started rope drop at DL but hopped around 11, we had already done TM, Space, Splash, Pooh, HM, Indy. 23rd we never hopped. But Disneyland emptied after fireworks, which is always nice. I guess it's the cold that makes everyone leave? Summer is not like that. We did no reservations, just mobile orders for quick eating. It was actually very strange, the lines for food were never long at all. Like even though I mobile ordered, we could have stood in lines just as fast, so strange.

it was, but well worth it to us. We did not do many quick service but the ones we did do there wasn't a line even though it was packed. I must say I went last year the 27-31 and it was for sure busier than this years 21-25. We either had a MP or waited less than 10 minutes for rides.
