Back From My First Solo Trip!

Solo trips in general are a good thing, as a divorced dad I can say they can have a depressing side as well, be careful to make solo trips an option instead of the only way to go..part of the magic is sharing it

Going solo is great. I took the plunge back in 2008, after family members kept dropping out of my Disney plans. I absolutely love it. I have done it many times. Mostly to Disneyland, but once last year to Disney World. Think of it this way. Solo is definitely better than never going at all. In fact, for me solo is my preference, because I can spoil myself totally. No one else to please, but me.

I've always wanted to try going to WDW solo. I've traveled solo a lot in the past through Europe and Africa, but I've always wondered what it would be like to do it at WDW, where you're surrounded by other families and a wealth of things to do and eat without having to go too far from where you're staying. I visited Tokyo Disneysea once by myself on the tail end of a trip to Tokyo and I really enjoyed not only doing what I wanted when I wanted, but also being able to sit down and truly people watch throughout the day.

I am planning a trip at the end of Feb/beginning of March that may or may not be solo (I am hoping for solo). Mostly so I can just do my stuff without worrying what my companion is interested in doing.

I went on my first solo trip last year and it was THE BEST THING IVE EVER DONE!! So much so that I am now bugging my hubby to see if we can make it happen again this year! I didnt do any sit down meals (and didnt really miss them) due to the awkward nature but didnt have any other times where I wished I wasnt alone. SO MUCH FUN!
