Had a fantastic 3 days at legoland. The look on the girls faces when we arrived was priceless. We'd told them we were going to a really big Tesco that was a few hours away but there was a soft play for them so they were more than happy with this.

31/2 hours later (& 2 DVD's) we told them to look out for the tesco sign. When they saw the legoland entrance and saw we were going in they just burst out giggling and were so excited. (Can't wait to spring the WDW trip on them in the airport next year!) Good job I had my sunglasses on as I did shed a tear! :rolleyes1

As a family we're very laid back and just take things as they come so the first day we just walked around going on any of the rides we faniced. Luckily they happened to be the popular ones so when the park was busy over the weekend we'd done the biggies and avoided the hour long queues!

We left at 4.00pm Friday and Saturday due to Ascot but as we had 3 days to explore the park this worked out great as the girls were shattered! We watched a Movie in our room each evening at the hotel that we'd not seen before so they loved this.

We stayed at the Hilton Basingstoke as we booked a package with Legoland and this was great - they made a real fuss of the girls. We paid £166 for 2 nights B&B with 3 days into the park. One day into the park alone would have cost us almost £120 so a bargain!

All in all we had a fantastic trip and to say it was just a few days I came away feeling like we'd actually been away on holiday. The girls said they'd had a great time which makes everything worthwhile

Will definitely look into going again next June as the youngest was still a little timid with some of the rides so hopefully next year she'll be up for them all.

Its also confirmed our plans that we'll just cover the Disney parks and Sealife in our trip next year. I definitely think we'll be having some lazy afternoons by the pool to recharge batteries. My DH is already talking about the trip after that so I know that we'll be going back again and again.

I recently changed my hours at work from this Sept so I can pick the girls up from school and work less days in school holidays. They've agreed to this without reducing my wages so with this weekend I'm feeling on a bit of a high! :woohoo: :cool1: :yay: :yay: :cool1: :woohoo:
