Just got back last night from six days at HIFS. We loved this hotel. We had 4 adults, 1 teenager and 2 small children and we fit fine in one room. Sofa bed uncomfortable but you are so tired at night it does not matter. One warning - we purchased the swim diaper for our 2 year old. They do not work. Water gets in them and makes very loose stools which leak out. My husband spotted this in the climber in the kiddie area and we blocked the climber until someone could clean it up - but we only caught it on the bottom of the slide. My son was all up inside the climber and who knows how much leaked out up there. We would not let our kids in the climber after this since HIFS personnel said that is the spot they always find poop. Very dangerous with kids climbing all in it. Anyway - we loved it and I would love to answer anyone's questions.

I am so glad that you had a good time. We are going the first week in May and my son will be 21 months old. I have a few questions and would appreciate any answers you can give.

1. Did you use a crib for your 2 year old, and if so, I understand that they are not full size - did he seem to mind that the crib was smaller?

2. The poop issue. Do you know if the hotel regularly cleans the toy that you were talking about, or do they only deal with it when there has been a "problem"?

3. What kind of room did you have? We are in a regular suite - not a kid suite - the person at the hotel thought that the regular suite would have more room for the crib in the second room.

4. Did you go back to the hotel in the afternoon for a nap for your youngest? I have heard it is important to stick to your baby's schedule so that you do not have multiple meltdowns. Just curious if you found this to be the case.

Thanks for all your help!!

BeauBeau: We ordered a crib but did not use one. We found it to be easier to let our son (2 next week) sleep in the king bedroom with my parents. He was so tired he never moved. I don't know about the poop issue. I never saw anyone out there so I am assuming they clean only when told there is poop in there. We had a kids suite and it worked for my 14 and 4 year old to share - with only a few fights. The last day we were there we sent my two young ones back to the room with the grandparents so they could all nap. The rest of the time my 2 year old either went without a nap or slept in the stroller, but we only had one late night. The rest of the time we went early and left the parks around 6. Hope this helps.
