Hi

Arrived back in UK on 1/11 :sad1:. Wrote a mini trip report/ review 2 days later but managed to lost it as saying not logged in, although sure I was !! Haven't had heart since to write out again. So just want to say had a fantastice first holiday at WDW and at POFQ, loved the resort more than any of the others we visited, lovely and quite and peaceful, pool was fab and loved being by the river. Loved the DDP, loads of food and mostly very good, my husband ( who was not really involved in the planning!) was amazed and especially that you could order anything off the menu. Food wise highlights were Ohana,Captains Grille and Chefs De France. Worst but not bad just not as good as others, Boatwrights and Napoloni.
Loved all 4 parks and loved the water parks a million times more than I thought I would. Was disapointed with sea world and was surprised by how much loved the Kennedy space centre. My husband was thrilled to see the shuttle on the launch pad.
Weather was fab, rained for about 2 minutes otherwise temp ranged from 85 deg to 95 deg .
Mainly wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone on here for all your help the holiday was even more special because of it. Especially watching MK fireworks from poly beach and GF boat deck.
Did MMNSHP and thought was fab, DD and DH loved doing rides in the dark

Flights economy with virgin were fine, on time to the minute each time, plane seemed fine to me did't think old/tatty and DTD check in was fab.No one there when we got there and had no scales to weigh cases and therefore said we had a freebie re weight! huge sigh of relief from us !!

Thanks Again and ask away with any questions

Welcome home. I love the water parks too and always try to fit both in. I would love to hear more about Sea World as we are planning to visit next year for the first time in several years - maybe not worth it?

To answer your question re Sea world, I was told by everyone I spoke to that we must do Sea World, so eventually decided to book it. I knew it wasn't going to be as good as disney but I think I just expected more than it was.
There are 3 "big rollercoaster rides" ,Mantra and Kracken, and journey to something !!, my 8 year old daugher was not tall enough to ride, Mantra or Kracken. DH rode Mantra he liked it but said similar to Air at Alton Towers. He then rode Kracken on his own-i.e the only one on the ride and said it shook his neck/back and came off in pain. The 3rd one which is a water ride which then becomes a coaster they both enjoyed. There is then a fairly decent size children's are with smaller rides, but really my DD was too old for these, so as far as rides go fairly disappointing but this was not the main reason for going. We then saw the Blue Horizon , Dolphin/Bird acrobat show, which was 30 min long and good but no better than I have seen elsewhere, and I have a bird phobia !! The Shamu show had 4 whales of meduim ish size and only lasted 15 minutes, again it was good but expected more, presume changed since the incident last year. Also always had in the back of my mind, "shoudn't they be in the sea" I expected them to have a lot more room at sea world then normal zoos/ sea centres. My DD loved the dolphin nursery, but again seemed the Dolphins seemed over crowded. The other exhibts of polar bears, sea lions etc again no different to what can see else where and have seen better. We left at 2pm as felt nothing else to do.Wasn't really interested in sea lions/otter shows. I would not go back but having said that my friend who went at the same time, went for the 1st time and loved it, and went back twice more. I suspose it depends on what you expect and what you have seen before..

Glad you had a good time :)

We enjoyed sea world this year, had 2 full days there and had lots to do. The park I didnt really like was hollywood studios, dh and dd went on tower of terror and me and ds seemed to wander around with not much to do, toy story mania was closed and the shows were only on a few times a day.

Guess we are all different !

Shame you didn't enjoy Seaworld. We have been Annual passport holders for years now, love the place and go in 2-3 times every visit, been taking DS in since he was age 3 and always found plenty to do.
They can't please everyone though, we all enjoy different things.

Sounds like you had a super holiday !! welcome back :thumbsup2

Seaworld is not for us either but I think thats because we are not animal lovers and you really have to be wowed by animals to get anything out of this park.
Its good to go once though so you made your own decision on it rather than always wondering if you would enjoy it or not.

It is interesting isn't it, maybe we missed something ! Although it was also one of the hottest days, in the high 90's and didn't seem much shade, we don't like the heat. Maybe were too desperate to get back to the pool !
