We were there for 9 days. My 12 yo DD has celiac. We have been a few times since her dx.

We went to the following places:

Raglan Road: She usually has the fish and chips and onion rings, but didn't have a tast for the fish. She had the shephard's pie and the onion rings. She really didn't care for the pie, it had a wine sauce and being 12, didn't like the taste. I thought it tasted fine. She loved her onion rings as usual. Unfortunately, she was told the beer-cheese soup was GF. I had the server ask the chef if it was made with GF beer. It was not, but the chef said the gluten cooks out. Uh, no. We passed on the soup.

Fogo de Chao: This is off property on International Drive. I had read about it in one of my GF magazines. It is a Brazilian steakhouse. Almost the entire menu is GF. 14 of the 16 meats were GF. They gave us a print-out of what wasn't GF and what was. We all loved it.

Mama Melrose: We come here every trip. This time, my daughter just had spaghetti with red sauce and rolls. She had a flourless chocolate cake for dessert. She is not a huge fan of Italian food, but we, her parents love the sangria here!

Yak & Yeti: My daughter loves this place. It isn't Disney owned, but the chef does come out to the table. She had sweet and sour chicken made with grilled chicken and devoured it.

Boma, dinner: This was our first time eating here for dinner. My daughter loved it and wished we could have gone a 2nd time this trip. It is a buffet and there was so much she could have. She stuffed herself silly!

Boatwright's: This was our first time eating here. They are only open for dinner. I ordered the crawfish bites 2 weeks in advance. We all shared those and they were yummy. Then we all had the shortribs with cheesy grits for our meal. She also got rolls. My husband and I liked the meal, DD not as much. Again, it had a wine sauce that she didn't care for, but she really didn't see anything else she wanted. She didn't care for the grits. They are the same as the grits served with the shrimp and grits I have had at Olivia's. They have a tiny bit of heat to them. It wasn't our favorite place to eat and while we would go back, it will not be for a few trips.

Biergarten, lunch: This used to be my DD's favorite restaurant until she discovered Boma for dinner! She likes German food so has many choices here. The little fruit cups at the dessert section were no longer plain though. They put the vanilla sauce on all of them and the sauce is not safe. So, there was nothing in the dessert section that was safe. The chef did bring out a big plate of strawberries and another plate with an OMG brownie, Enjoy Life Cookies and and Enjoy Life candy bar. She loved the strawberries and the chocolate, but she doesn't like those brownies or cookies.

Olivia's, lunch: We offered DD this palce or RR. She chose this place because she knew she could get the allergy chicken tenders. She normally hates that kind of food, but the loves them in WDW! So she had those with fries. She isn't a big fan of fries, but did eat some of them.

Boma, breakfast: This is our favorite breakfast on property. They offer a lot of GF choices and unique choices. I like the grilled asparagus! The chef brought out a plate with Mickey waffles, a muffin and a couple of donuts.

Snacks: We don't snack much. But, there is a place at MK that offers baked potatoes with butter, sour cream and shredded cheddar cheese. My DD loves baked potatoes. It is right by Liberty Square. At Epcot, she had the strawberry macaron at the France kiosk for the Flower festival, and loved it. She also loves the caramel apple at the caramel shop in Germany.

We eat breakfast in our room most of the time and I bring snacks with me to the parks. I also bought PB and J and bread for the room and popcorn.

er what kind of chef worth his salt, would cook a G/F dish with an ingredient with gluten? what a shame for people thinking they will have a safe meal and end up sick.!! I Hope you told him gluten , like alcohol wont "cook" out. :crazy2:

I did tell the server that you cannot cook out gluten. They are usually very good at Raglan Road, so it was disappointing.

Did she eat the caramel apple without having a reaction? I was told nothing in the caramel shop was Gluten Free. I am wondering if I received the wrong information. I know caramel is an iffy one with gluten.

Thanks for posting! I went gluten free 2 weeks ago. I'm going to DW in May and this gave me a few restaurant ideas. Thanks!

I think it may be produced in a shared facility, but it has no gluten ingredients. It isn't the same caramel they sell in the bags which isn't safe. She has 1 or 2 apples a trip and has never had a reaction and she is extremely sensitive.
Edited to add that you should always ask to see the allergy binder. You never know when or if they will change ingredients.

thank you for the post. I have a ressie at Wolfgang Puck which I have done before in other locations but have been wanting to try Raglan Road. I'm now drooling over the thought of having fish and chips and onion rings. Yummo!

What do you bring for your duaghter to eat for breakfast? I am newly dx celiac and I struggle with options when I don't have eggs or a waffle (toaster oven)

I sent an Amazon waffle maker and box mix that is gluten free that you add milk and oil to. We stayed in a DVC suite and had a fridge so I would make a few days worth and keep them for the kids (my three are GF when together). We did Chex too.

We go to the store and buy cereal and milk. We are DVC so we have a full kitchen or at least a small fridge and microwave in our room.
