We had a wonderful time while at DL. Our stay was from June 2nd to June 8th. We stayed in the Disneyland Resort, Dreams tower room 2032. They upgraded us to a pool view room and it was wonderful. The rooms were in great shape (at first) and loved being so close to DD and the elevators.

Now that was not our big upgrade. Sometime during the week our bathroom slowly went down hill. Toilet was having trouble, rattling and things like that. I went to take a bath one night. Water would not go down. Started hearing funny noises coming from the toilet. Needless to say when the toilet flushed, messed up the tub that would not go down. UGH! Called Disney services. They laughed at us on the phone saying that it could not be that bad and they would send someone up. Well when they got to the room and looked at what happened they were surprised and told us we would have to leave the room. This was a real problem because they said the two were not connected. Oh great. Had to start packing up everything. They call down and tell them we had to leave the room. So we wait and they finally call us back to tell us they are sending bell services to get our things and move us. I ask where, and they said we would still be in the dreams tower, just moving us up. They moved us up alright. Right to the California Suite. Talk about customer service! Room was beautiful and more than we could have though because of a little trouble. The hotel also treated us to breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen. Disney magic :wizard::wizard:

The parks were wonderful. We didn't have to stand in line for long. Longest lines were for Toy Story Mania. Indiana Jones broke down a couple of times during our trip which made our fast pass lines much longer. Even though fantasmic and the parade in California Adventure was down, nothing detracted from our trip. The new fireworks show was nice. Loved Dumbo flying around the castle. Very magical

We just can't wait to go back to see all the new and exciting things that they will be doing in the coming years! :woohoo:

See AC7179's thread about just returning from a stay at the PPH - http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2209948 - it seems plumbing issues were in the air at both the PPH and at the DLH!!! Except in AC7179's case, they did not offer a free character meal, which is what I have heard of happening when guests have had trouble with their DLR hotels rooms in the past. (Did you enjoy Goofy's Kitchen? That's my favorite place!)

Anyway, it's great that you had a wonderful time. The TSMM line usually moves very fast, no matter what the wait time says on the sign. Did you find that to be the case?

Wow! The suite! Nice upgrade! Sounds like you had a nice trip and wonderful accommodations!

I made that same comparison, Sherry. PPH plumbing problems = resort fee credit. DLH plumbing problems = Upgrade to California Suite and a free character breakfast! Wow.

Exactly! It seems a little off-balance there but it may be another one of those cases where it depends on the Cast Member in charge and perhaps some of them are more 'generous' than others. Since I would already be expecting to pay the Resort Fee anyway, I would rather have the upgrade to a Suite and the free breakfast than the Resort Fee credit!

It was a great upgrade. Who knew that a plumbing issue would give us such a nice gift. They could have moved us anywhere and we would not have complained at all. And Gooy's Kitchen was wonderful. We had only eaten there for dinner, never a breakfast.

The Toy Story line moved very quickly. I was suprised at how quickly the line moved. Only on Sunday did the line seem to stall out a little, but to me that was still not bad as we still only waited 35 minutes.

I'm so glad you got such a great upgrade!! YAY!!!!!! What a fun stay that must have been. :)
