back from BLT

After 10 the front doors require a magic band to open them, just did it last night, as for the observation deck, they could station someone in the lobby all day to gain access, but we as members would have to pay for that. The lounge and deck have always only been open in the evening.

sorry they were not!!! promise you got up there several times in past visits and past years.

I was using a MAGIC BAND and as I say even call the phone on the outside of the building for help - got told the building was locked.

How about the bridge door from CR to BLT?

it was acting strangely too - getting out was never a problem - but at times getting back in definitely was - even took it off and put the mickey together to get it to work - what finally happen everytime was someone can out of BLT going to CR - so the silly door opened

I can back up Pat's comment here as my daughter was married in WDW last year. We had the night before the wedding "get together" at TOWL. On April 1, we walked up in the afternoon just to check it out---about 3-4 pm'ish, and the observation deck was open. We walked out there. It was not locked. This was a Tuesday.

The lounge has always only been open in the evenings, with access provided via a CM in the lobby. The observation deck is open 24/7, but getting to the 16th floor to gain access is restricted to guests staying on that floor. If somehow you found yourself on the 16th floor, you can access the deck. Nothing has changed.....

You used to be able to get to the 16th floor by using the stairways from a lower floor. In my experience, it was hit or miss to find the doors from the stairwells to the 16th floor to be open or locked. My guess is that they have gotten better about keeping those doors locked.

I will be staying for the first time next month. What about EMH?

I was wondering about that also. This certainly seems inconvenient to me.
