We just got back Friday from 8 nights at the Beach Club. When we checked in we were told we were upgraded to a Water View Room but it only had one queen bed and a chair that unfolds into a twin size bed. Since it was only DD and myself that was fine. (there were towel animals on the shelf above the sink too!)
Our room # was 1523 and the view was of the Quite Pool. If you looked over the shrubs you could see the tops of the boats and the lighthouse.
Since the room was on first floor, we had a patio and landscaping separated the patio from the walkway around the pool. We saw quite a few kids walking through the landscaping to enter their rooms through the sliding doors.
The best part of the room was that it was on the end of the building and three doors down from the exit. We were at the International Gateway in 5 minutes of less (depending on how humid it was) We did get used to the somewhat long walk to the lobby and bus stop. Cutting through the Solarium cut down the distance a very little.
We went to SAB once, the day we checked in. DD got something like glass in the bottom of her foot while she was there and didn't want to go back. We did use the quite pool often. The water was actually cooler (and more refreshing) than SAB and the hot tub was wonderful.
The down side:
When we first entered the room, there were papers on the tables, like tags from dry cleaning. Also on the table on tha patio, there was a water bottle with cigarette butts in it. I gave it to the housekeeper who was still in the hall. When we were leaving I was checking behind chairs and under beds and found a pill and a capsule behind the chair. I left a message for housekeeping.
I probably would not take an upgrade if the room was by the quite pool again. At 2am every morning, it was far from quiet with parents having a night cap and their children having chicken fights in the pool. It was noisy.
I have pictures that I could share.
If anyone has any questions, please ask.
