Back from BCV and OKW

Well, we actually got back late Fri but I came back with a little bit of a cold and had to get dh off for a trip to NY for work on Sunday.
We had a great trip. We spent two days at OKW dedicated 2 bedroom 1420 to start the trip off. We checked in a little before 2:00 but the room was not ready until a little after 4:00. We did get our request of close to HH. We went to the Tampa Bay practice while waiting to get into our room but didn't get to stay very long because of a thunderstorm. We were able to work around the storms for the rest of the trip and the weather did not change any of our plans.
We went to PBH at Universal for 2 days and then came back to BCV for 5 days in a dedicated 2 bedroom. Our room was ready at 1:30pm. We had 353 and I was thrilled to get the two queen beds (assures you of no fighting between the kids-at least over the beds). I could see Illuminations from our balcony and the room was right by the ice and trash.
We did go to Member day on July 29 for about an hour and I was sorry that I did not get to see the other disers who were attending. It was so tempting to walk by the Addon 101 table and still see April use year for BCV but I knew I would not be able to budge dh. We are getting ready to start replacing windows in the house.
We also got to ride Mission Space (even my 5 yr old rode it) and everyone did fine. I am the wimp in the family and did not get sick.
I can't wait to bank the rest of my OKW points this year and reserve the next trip (probably early June).

Hey! Welcome back to Lexington and the boards! I've been thinking of you and the rain, glad it didn't effect your trip. Sorry to hear you've been sick. Did you start getting sick while you were gone or did you catch a bug on the plane? What did you think of BCV? Also, did you like Universal & PBH? Sorry so many questions! Talk to ya later!

It sounds like you had a great trip. How did your 5 year old like MS? Did your 5 year old ride any of the other thrill rides in the parks like at MK for instance? My niece is 5 and she is very tall for her age. She looks like she's 8 but she can be a little scary. This is her first trip and I don't want to traumatize the poor girl. Did you use bus service to the parks when you were at OKW or did you take your own vehicle? Eat at Olivia's? Sorry for all the questions but we leave in 10 days and I'm so excited! Jenifer: I came down with a cold about three days before we came back. We did like PBH although we had a rough start (see Universal resorts post). We enjoyed Universal but like IOA a little bit more. Ds expecially liked Spiderman, Jimmy Neutron, Shrek, and Popeye. We never waited for a ride more than 5 minutes with the FOTL. I was happy to go "home" back to disney though. We love BCV. This was our second time there. Last time we had a studio so we were really spoiled by the 2 bedroom. DD still likes disney better. That's my girl!

Lisa: We only went to Blizzard Beach while we were at OKW so we drove. When we were there Thanksgiving we only had trouble getting a bus one morning. We have not tried Olivia's but would like to next time. Let me know what you think. Ds enjoyed Mission: Space but did not want to ride it the next day (I don't think he was scared but was just at the time of day where he was tired). He doesn't like roller coasters but loves the simulator rides like Star Wars. Have a great trip! Feel free to ask if you have any other questions.
