Just back from a trip to the Beach Club Villas with husband, baby (11 months) and my parents. Here's the lowdown on where we ate - I didn't take notes but I'll do my best from memory:
**Note, most of the time my baby had his bottle and a little off of my plate so not much commentary for him :D Sometimes we at with the parents to and sometimes not so there might not be any reviews for them.

Sunday (check in day!): Lunch at ESPN Club. I had the nachos, mom and dad had the wings, husband had the pasta with chicken and shrimp and baby had some New England clam chowder and crackers. The nachos were just okay, not really a whole lot of meat on them or other toppings for that matter. The soup was good. The wings were also good, came with two types of sauces, one extremely hot according to my dad. I didn't taste the pasta, but my husband said it was okay but not a whole lot of shrimp in it though.

Sunday: Dinner at Dolphin Soda Fountain. I had the bacon cheeseburger with swiss and onion rings and husband had a chili cheese hot dog with french fries. Both were decent, though I think my cheeseburger was better than the hotdog. And compared to the hotdog at Beaches and Cream (review below) it was severely lacking. (Baby was with the parents asleep in the room.)

Monday: Breakfast at Spoodles. I had the Mediterranean Breakfast platter which had scrambled eggs, chorizo, bacon, french toast and potatoes and came with a basket of breakfast bread (one of each, croissant, apple danish, bran muffin). The breakfast was good until I tried the eggs, there was this really strong unpleasant taste to them and for a minute I thought that plastic or teflon from the grill got melted on them. There was what I though shredded parmesan cheese on them. Turns out the waitress said it was some other type of cheese - can't remember the name now but was very pungent. Don't think I would eat the eggs again, to strong tasting for me. My dad got the semolina pancakes. I for the life of me can't remember what my husband and mom got. My baby ate off my plate and had his bottle.

Monday: Dinner at 'Ohana. This was great. Appetizers were salad, shrimp dumplings which this time were crispy not soft like before when we've been there - a definite improvement. The sticky wings were really good too, there was also stir-fried rice and vegetables. The main course was beef tenderloin, pork, turkey and large shrimp. All were great!! The dipping sauces were new since the last time we were there. Peanut, hoisin and some sort of asian b-b-q. The peanut was the best I thought. Baby had the grilled cheese and French fries (well not the whole plate).

Tuesday: Breakfast at Chef Mickey's!!! We lucked out, we didn't have PS's and when we asked about the wait they said it would be about 45 minutes, but they called us to seat us after about three minutes. We didn't question why, we were just grateful and followed the hostess. Honestly I can't really remember what anyone had as we were too excited at watching my baby with the characters and taking pictures :D I do remember the food was good and he loved all the characters and the music. We will definitely be back!

Tuesday: Dinner at Rainforest Café at Downtown Disney. I really love the Rainforest Café and since I have the Safari card (club card you can sign up for) it turned what would have been an hour and 45 minute wait into a 15 minute wait. We got the appetizer which had several different kinds of them, crab dip, chicken tenders, chimi cha-chas, etc. It was pretty good. Unfortunately I strayed from my usual for the main course of either pasta, burgers or mixed grill and got the platter that had fried fish, crabcake and shrimp. It was pretty good, but I wished at had ordered something else. Husband got the planet earth pasta and mom and aunt who was with us got the steak and shrimp.

Wednesday: Lunch with just me and my baby at Coral Reef Restaurant while dad and husband were golfing and my mom was with her sister who had come up from Okachobee for a couple of days. I was hoping he'd like the aquarium which was beautiful. Unfortunately, he was hot and tired and wasn't in the mood and ended up falling asleep. I had the roasted chicken with port wine reduction and mascarpone macaroni and cheese. I also tried the shrimp and (cold) vermicelli with feta as an appetizer (I know it was a lot for lunch, but I was treating myself). Luckily I didn't eat breakfast because I had the chocolate wave for dessert which was very good, small chocolate cake with fudge sauce and white chocolate ice cream with dried cherry compote. Pretty good. The reason I was alone was that my husband was golfing and I had really wanted to try this place, but didn't think my husband would care for the food. He probably could have found something, but it was just as well. There were tons of other people with their children there so don't feel if you have young children you shouldn't go there. NOTE: It was very hot and I was pushing the baby in his stroller by myself (had walked from the Beach Club) and hadn't had breakfast. Needless to say I won't be doing that again. I wasn’t tired or out of breath but my legs got really wobbly and I was perspiring very heavily which I normally don't do from just walking. At this point I hadn't decided where lunch was going to be but the Coral Reef was the closest so that basically dictated where we had lunch. Moral of the story don't go out with just yourself and baby if you haven't eaten anything or drank much that morning and it's a mid-day in September in Orlando.

Wednesday: Dinner in the room. My mom made spaghetti with meatballs and sausage. Pretty good!

Thursday: Lunch at Whispering Canyon Café. Husband had cheeseburger and I had nachos and chicken caesar salad. Nachos were just okay- they could have had more chili on them. Salad was great. My husband said his hamburger was okay but kind of had an unusual (to him) taste to it. When our very nice waiter asked him if the burger was okay and he gave his response he went back to tell the manager who was very nice and came out to see if they could make him another one. He told her not to worry about that he was just not used to the grill taste or something to that effect (I wasn't really sure what he meant as he eats burgers from Burger King and at home they're grilled) but at any rate, the waiter told us the manager insisted we get a free dessert each. We tried to tell them that they didn't have to do that but he said "hey if the manager wants you to have dessert I'd order dessert" We were pretty full so we ordered just one - the chocolate moose stampede or something to that effect. It was great. Again our waiter was really nice, I was afraid from the reports I'd read that this place would be a little over the top but they were great. We will be back but next time we'll try dinner. P.S. I really want to stay at the VWL next trip - I love this décor!

Thursday: Dinner at Beaches and Cream. We were staying at the Beach Club Villas and I couldn't leave without trying this place once. We got chili dogs which were huge and I ordered a bowl of chili which was great - lots of big chunks of ground beef and I got cheese and onions on it. Of course if I had know either were so big I might not have ordered both. But what the heck, it's vacation right? We didn't have room for dessert. We will be back though! Note: Parents had burgers and banana split here the first night of check in and (they wanted to grab something quick before heading over to see Illuminations.) They said the banana split was HUGE - they had to bring half of it back to the room (to put in there freezer).

Friday: Breakfast at Boma's. We really only went here so we could see the Animal Kingdom Lodge because my husband wants to stay there in the future. It had great décor. The actual restaurant was okay though maybe dinner would be better there. Some of the stuff was a little lukewarm. Also to me it didn't really look like the pods I had read about but pretty much just an ordinary buffet line. We'll have to try it for dinner sometime if we stay there, otherwise, I'm not sure if we'd make a special trip just for breakfast again.

Well that's it! I only gained two pounds believe it or not and they are gone now that we've gotten back home and started eating like humans again. Hope this was somewhat informative. Take care!

Great reviews! I am thinking of trying breakfast at Spoodles. I love their dinners!

We are doing Coral Reef for lunch. Could you tell me a little more about the chicken dish. I want to try a seafood dish, but in case nothing appeals to me I would like to have a back up. I can be a bit picky. Was the mac and cheese good? Thanks for your help!;)
The reviews were great! How did you enjoy Beaches and Cream?

Hi Samantha! The chicken dish was pretty good it was chicken breast with part of the bone (more for presentation though) it was crispy and juicy (but it wasn't breaded or fried) and the macaroni and cheese was a more adult version, the macaroni was sort of corkscrewed but still elbow macaroni and ribbed so the cheese sauce stuck to it more. Also the port wine reduction with the chicken was great. It was a very generous serving size too! I really liked Beaches and Cream, of course we only got the hot dogs and chili but both sizes were huge. Next time we're back we will have to try some burgers and sundaes :D Plus we were there pretty late (around 10:30) because we had just come from watching Tapestry of Dreams at Epcot. But the place was still packed. Let us know how you like it if you go! :D
