Hi All!

New DH and I have been back a week now but everything has been so crazy with unpacking gifts and transporting things back and forth between my parents' (where we got married) and our house!

The wedding was Saturday, March 31 at home and the weather was perfect. There was not a cloud in the sky and I believe the temperature was around 65. We had a wonderful time and are still waiting on our pictures (should be about 2-4 weeks we hear).

The honeymoon was great - it was incredibly full being it was Spring Break week (4/1-4/7) but the weather was BEAUTIFUL!! It didn't rain at all save for one night (and we were already asleep so it didn't matter).

Here are some quick reviews on some of our experiences:

We stayed at SSR and despite the busy season, got everything we requested - a top corner room in a building very close to a bus stop (we stayed in the Paddock) but not too close to the main building.

We got our ears at World of Disney and the CM there was great - congratulated us right away, got us our buttons (it was the first place we went after we checked in) and kept up a really nice conversation. DH and I were CPs Spring '04 and have noticed that the seasons seem to alternate - when we were down in November, the CPs we encountered were not overly friendly but when we've gone down in the spring, we haven't met an unfriendly one! I'm thinking it may have something to do with the fact that when we go in the fall, it's usually right around the holidays (which is why we did the Spring program anyway - neither of us wanted to be away from our families at Thanksgiving and Christmas).

We did the DDP and really liked what we got out of it. It was the first time either of us had done it and we thought since it was such a special occasion, why not? We did two signatures (Cali Grill and Hoop Dee Doo) and are SO happy we did because it really spread out our sit-down dinners. I don't think I could possibly imagine eating a sit-down every single day with the portion sizes, but I guess if you spread them out right it's ok. The only meals we were kind of disappointed with were California Grill (great during Wishes, but our server kind of snubbed us for a, how shall I put it nicely, "ritzier" looking family next to us (they drank more alcohol - expensive bottles of wine); and 50s PrimeTime (which is usually my absolute favorite, but because it was SO busy, they were really rushing people through their meals). Hoop Dee Doo was fantastic, the food was incredibly fresh and we got to dance to "Let Me Call You Sweetheart", as was Le Cellier. Our most special experience, though was at Tony's Town Square - a restaurant many people told us not to go to! Our server made sure our table was decorated and when it was time for dessert, he let the whole restaurant know it was our honeymoon! He counted to 3 and everyone said "That's amore!" and blew us a kiss! The food was also excellent and we didn't feel rushed at all.

All in all, I definitely have to agree with those who advised us - don't go down expecting anything, because if you get something, you'll be really surprised. Other than the restaurant experiences, we got a few special recognitions (a few "use anytime" FastPasses and some cheering when we got to move up in the line because they needed a party of two), but nothing as great as some on here. DH also wasn't thrilled that it was so VERY full (I was expecting it) as he is one who loves to "go, go, go!" but after being so exhausted from the wedding, it was relaxing to just sort of go at our own pace.

Finally, thank you SO much to everyone on the boards for your help. We got some of our best brainstorms from here. Once I get the link to my pictures, I will post it so anyone who would like to see them can.

Good luck to all of you up and coming DIS Brides and Honeymooners!
