Hi, When you get to a ride, you & the child need to go to the cast member standing in front. Ask them for a child swap pass. Then, the 1st group (up to 3 people) get to ride the ride. After they get off, the 2nd group gets to go through the line. Some rides (rockin rollercoaster), , I waited at the exit, then could go to the front of the line. Other rides, you use the fast pass lines. If a ride doesn't have a height restriction (i.e. Haunted Mansion), there is no child swap. You just have to wait for the 1st group, then get in line again.

As far as Universal, I have no clue. Sbella

If I remember correctly from last summer, you tell the CM working the "front" of the attraction that you need to do the baby swap. Most will insist on seeing the actual baby. Then they give you something that's like a Fastpass. You use the FP line to ride the attraction.
We used our FPs, then the person with the baby can use the FP line with the baby swap ticket.
We got to ride Soarin', ToT, and RnR a lot with our FPs and the baby swap.
