Thanks for all the great info these boards always provide. I know about the baby swap but what rides at both parks can our 9 month old enjoy with the family? TIA

Universal Studios offers lots of shows that are great for any age.
Animals Live!, Beetle Juice, Horror-Make up are some off the top of my head. You could probably take the 9 month old in twister but it is very loud and might frighten them.

IOA has a few shows. I have never stopped to watch Sinbad but from my knowledge its just a stunt show? I think. Probably take her through Poseidon, but again, lots of noises and such- may not be the greatest idea. The kid zone at Jurassic Park is a great place for all children. No the 9 month old couldnt play but if you have other children you could be right there with them while they play. The water rides offer great viewing areas so you will be able to able to atleast see your family while they ride.

Thats all I can think of for now. Someone else will come along soon that knows better than I, I'm sure.

Honestly? Neither park is a great place for babies and toddlers. The Barnie show at US and maybe the carousel in Seussland at IOA... but even the Cat in the Hat ride is probably too bumpy and jerky for a baby that small.

I'm sure there are a few other things here and there, but overall there's just not a lot for the littlest ones in these parks.

I have taken infants to both parks and as long as you are aware that the baby will not ride many rides, I would still take the baby and just swap with your spouse so you can have some fun. We took infants with us and always had a great time as a family. At IOA the baby can ride One fish two fish, and probably Cat in the Hat, and the carousel (if you are in a nonmoving seat). At US I think the baby can ride Shrek (nonmoving seat), and Jimmy Neutron (nonmoving seat). Definately not like the Magic Kingdom where infants can ride 90% of the rides, but Universal is still a good time anyway (at least to us it was!).

There aren't many and the baby needs to be wearing shoes for some reason.

IMO babies don't really care, lol.

No they don;'t seem to mind too much. But I think what she is looking for is to be able to experience the fun as a whole family not as a group
