Will i be allowed to take baby rice in a sealed packet to Florida? If not is there some in Disney (were be staying at th BC) that i can buy some? I haven't got a hire car x
Do you mean the dry rice in a packet? If so you will be fine. I think you would be fine with ready made in a jar if it is the 'not fresh' kind ie just off the shelf. It's really only fresh foods - like fruit vegetables and meat - that you cannot take in.
Yes, if it's the boxed cereal style rice like the Heinz/Farleys etc it is fine. In fact, I strongly recommend you take your own as you don't want to try out a new brand there without any fall-back. Not so much that your baby's tummy will be upset, but the possibility that he/she may just not like something else.
My DD has a gluten allergy. She is 8, but I always take her own cereals with us just in case we can't get something suitable and it has never been a problem. The CPB website has a list of things, that are fine and not fine to take into the US. It is quite detailed.

My daughter is also a Coeliac and we were wondering what we should take for her. I have heard that the Disney staff are amazing, but again we are not hiring a car except for a couple of days and are unsure that we will be able to find anything for her at all!!
Yes - but declare it on the food declaration (white) form. I did this with formula last year - the guy on the desk asked me what the food was that I was declaring and when I told him, he wrote something on the form and said to show it to another guy and it was fine.

Our 11 year old daughter is a coeliac. We have visited WDW for the last 7 summers and let me reassure you Disney are outstanding at dealing with any food intolerances. We always take a whole suitcase with food in. Items include gluten free bread, cereals and snacks that we know are gluten free. We always carry a doctor's note saying that the food is because of a medical condition, but we have never had to show it to anyone.
Where are you staying? If it is at a Disney hotel they always stock gluten free pizza bases, pasta and bread at all of their counter service restaurants and they cannot be more helpful at the table service restaurants. Let me know if you have any more questions.

They are absolutely great! However I need to have safe snacks and basics for the odd occasion. Sometimes it takes time to get something specially made so for peace of mind and convenience, I take some cereals, the GF corn cakes she absolutely loves (so do I ), snack bars, cookies, breadsticks and anything that is easy to pack into a park bag for the day/leave in the room for emergency snacking.
She also loves the GF brownies from the food courts and CS locations and I have to say, they are really yummy. You can also get GF cookies for desserts/snacks at many of the CS locations as well as in some of the resort gift shops if she wants something novelty style. I do have an advantage in that my DD is not celiac so it does make things easier with regard to cross contamination issues, but I do treat it pretty much as I would with an infant.
Also every place that sold icecream in a cone was able to do it in a cup for her.
Do i need to pack the rice cereal box in my suitcase or carry-on bag? I saw a thread the other day about how expensive nappies were in the USA if brought from the resorts so i didn't want to search and have to pay loads for the rice.

Take both. I dont want to think what you would pay for nappies at WDW .... You won't be bringing them back with you (at least not many) so rather take your own.
I don't think you will pay much different for rice at a supermarket, but as I said, you may not find your baby's brand so it depends how picky/adventurous baby is. I put my food in my suitcase. Er, I have never declared it. I just check before I pack on the CPB website to see what the current regs are (they can change at any time) and make sure that none of the items/ingredients are prohibited. TBH I now only take what I really need as I know pretty much what we can get and if you plan to go out of Disney on one day, you can always stop at a supermarket (I use taxis) and pick up any essentials, but you don't want to HAVE to organise that on your arrival day. With a baby I used to take my fave brands and essentials - no matter where I travelled.
