We have 2 9 month old twins and a 4 year old. We are traveling On July 2nd 2005 to Mexico. I wanted to get some addtional information:

1) Flounder's nursery question: Do babies have to come fed or will they feed them baby food and bottles? Also do you bring your own diapers, wipes etc? Would they let our 4 year old daughter stay with them one night if she didn't want to go to club?

2) Strollers on Board- I had heard that they have strollers on ship that you can borrow or rent. Is this true and what kind are they?

3)Pack n Plays- We are requesting 2 pack n plays for the twins? Does the ship provide sheets for these? Or do we need to bring or own? Will they bring hi chairs and any other thins to the room?

4) Bottled water- we are staying in a Cat 2 suite, and I have heard we received free bottled water, is this true? We will need it to make formula for the twins. I'm just wondering if we need to bring it on the ship or what?

Any information would be helpful

I can try to answer some:

1) You can bring bottles to Flounders and they will feed them those - they will not feed them baby food, however. You do bring your own diapers/wipes, etc. to Flounders - just take a diaper bag and leave it there with supplies. I do not believe they will allow your 4-year old to stay there.

2) You can borrow a stroller from guest services for the duration of your trip. I think it's a $100 deposit made on your account, which is credited when you return it. Not sure what kind they are, however.

3) DCL will provide a sheet for the pack-n-play, but no blanket, so be sure to bring those. I have not asked for a high chair, so can't help you there.

4) I have heard that you get water/soda resupplies in a Cat 2 - we were in a Cat 3 and only had an initial stock. If they don't, you can buy a water package on the ship for a case or something like that. Another option is the tap water - it is good and many people do use it for making bottles.

Enjoy! You will love the space you have, even with two pack-n-plays!

The strollers are nice Graco ones with the basket underneath & big wheels. :)

I cruised with my 6 month old last August and they DID feed her baby food. I was told that they only feed babies, no one else. And only food that you bring.....

You are brave. As a mother of 6 children, I speak with experience. We have done Disneyland with all of our children, and young ones, but looking back, I wonder how we ever did it. Have a great time, they are only little once.

Our youngest 2.5 year old b/g twins had their first magic cruise when they were 8 months and this is what happened for us.

Flounders happily gave them bottles. Also babyfood, cheerios and fishy crackers (they had mouths full of teeth).

On one of our cruises, they also took polaroid pictures of our twins together and did fingerpaint handprints.

We used the ships pack n plays, but brought padding to put between the sheet and the pack n play bottom as it is kind of hard and we didn't really like to cover our babies with much (they always slept in sleep sacs, no blankets). Sort of like flannely/felt type stuff that I cut at home to fit our pack n play and it did fine.

We did not use their strollers. They are Graco ones, nice, but kind of bulky if you need to push two of them. We brought our peg perego aria twin which is a side by side that reclines but weighs practically nothing and isn't wide (fits through a standard doorway). We had no trouble with it in the dining rooms, elevators or hallways.

We also had a 2.5 year old dd at that time and she went to the club (totally potty trained). I can't imagine having put her in flounders even at that age because it really doesn't have any preschooler type toys and not much room to really run around. (But we do LOVE flounders when they are little).

We purchased all of our water on board because that is just too much to lug onto the boat with all the baby gear.

They also brought us diaper Genies and that helped. We have only been in connecting category fours (with dhs schedule we never book far enough in advance to get the connecting 3/4 that we need).

This will be our first cruise that the twins might get to go in the club (they will be 2.75 and have been potty trained since 20 months).

I know that alot of people can't comprehend leaving little ones in childcare on vacation, but as a stay at home mom to seven kids, putting the babies in flounders for a couple of dinners out was a highlight of our vacation. We thought the staff there was wonderful and they really made a great effort to keep the babies happy.
