So I am sure that you guys are wondering on some details right about now.

Well I will share the details and then some pics to post later...i have them all on a CD but have not uploaded them yet.

On Tuesday the 15th, we were out shopping around the town, and DWs 5 minute apart contractions that she had been having for a week, were starting to get a little stronger.. I was getting very excited.

We made it home about 6:30 tuesday night, and she says hun, i think i am going to call the doctor, Her advice was to get in the tub, and try and get them to be 3 minutes apart.

SO i drew her a bath, and she hopped in, yep sure enough as soon as she was in there for 10 minutes, they went down to 3 minutes apart, so for about 45 minutes we kept timing them in the tub, just to make sure, and then she got out, well when she got out they went back to 5 minutes, but hen would also get back to 3 minutes occasionally, I told her lets lay down in bed and see what happens, it is going to be a long night, and you need some rest.

So we lay down in bed about 1030, and they start again at 3 minutes, at Midnight, i called the doctor again and she said come on in and we will check her out.

So i loaded up the SUV and we were on the way.

I made the grandparent calls, and told them that we dont know for sure, but i am saying that we are not coming back home without a baby.

It was not like the movies driving to the hospital, but i can say that I did not stop at 1 stop sign the whole way there. There is not much traffic out in our town at 12:30 at night.

So we get the emergency room, and lucky for us, we did hte pre admitance stuff a few weeks ago, so i just had to sign a few papers, and then run to catch up with DW as she was wheeled down the halls to the elevator...Trying to make sure that I did not drop the suitcase, diaper bag, and the other stuff that we had with us.

I finally yelled to the nurse will you wait, the baby is not coming in the next 5 minutes.

We get to the 7th floor baby department, and they take her into the examination room, and the nurse that comes in says, well there is no reason to exam you in here, I can see that we are going to have a baby tonight.

We go the the delivery suite, which are very nice...they are at least the size of 3 normal hosipal rooms, and have everything that you could ever want...tons of room, hot tub big enough for 4 people, and a flat screen TV on the wall.

They hook her up, and she is all the way thinned out now, and dialed to about 3 centimeters...

From 1:00 to 1:00 in the afternoon, we went between laying bed to sitting in the hot tub, and walking the halls.

She loved the hot tub, it really eased up on the contrations, but she wanted the baby to come out sooner, so we kept taking walks, which really helped...

Now DW can not tolerate pain at all, she cries when she has a splinter and I have to take it out. So seeing her in Labor can only be described as a blessing from GOD.

She did not scream once, and was in complete control of all of her contractions. I was so proud of her, and I have not been around many women giving birth, but she had some pretty intense ones, that I am sure would be considered very painful to some. When we would walk the halls, she would stop for a contraction and lean on me, and once the major one slowed down after about 90 some seconds, it would not be going away completely, nad she would start what the doctor told her was trailer contractions....these would last about 7 minutes all together, i knew this because we seemed to always stop right by the temperature controls and I would watch the clock on that was we stood there.

But DW got through every single contraction great, and at a few minutes after 1:00 in the afternoon she was fully dilated and allowed to push.

During the contractions and pushing the doctor told DW that she was the most in control women she has ever seen give birth, she did not know how she was staying so calm while she was having those contraction with how intense the machine said that they were .

This made DW very happy and she knew that all hte praying and believe in what her labor would be like was coming true.

So at 2:11 PM Parker was born. When he came out I kept trying to see what he was, because all three of hte doctors and nurses grabbed him and started to clean and suck the stuff out of him, and there hands were in the way, i finally saw that it was a boy and started to cry and gave DW a huge hug, they showed him to DW and she was crying, and then they took and layed him on her chest for a few seconds and they cleaned him up the rest of the way and did all the tests on him.

Once he was all wrapped up, they gave him to her, and I went out in the hall to my parents, DWs mom and brother, her dad was there in the morning but had to fly out to Texas on business for few days, and wsa very upset that he could not be there, but he come back and saw us for a while on his way home on Friday.

DW did not have any medicine, or pain killers at all, did not need any stitching or having any problems what so ever during hte delivery.

We moved down to our recovery room for the next few days and started to love on the new little miracle that was our son.

His stats.

Parker William N.
8lbs 1 oz
19inches
born April 16th, at 2:11pm

I will go and see who won the baby pool and announce those results shortly.

Oh yeah, not sure if everyone knew about it but we had an earthquake friday morning in Illionise that went up to us as well.

at about 4:39 DW called to me and said hun, my bed is moving, i jumped up and tryed to walk to her, but i could not move, it felt like i had hte worst hang over in my life and was trying to walk. Being up on the 7th floor in the hospital really made it sway and we could feel everything.

I went out in the hall and asked a nurse if hte hospital was moving back and forth and she said "no"

I was like i think so my wifes bed was just moving.

She goes" oh they are doing construction on the floor below us, it might be that."

I went back in my room, and started to think to myself, i did not want to tell DW but if the floor was moving at 430 in the morning because of construction, then that means that our room is going to cave in and that is not good.

When they brought parker back to us about 530 for his feeding, i turned on the news and saw that there was an earthquake.

Then again at 11:15 that afternoon, we felt the aftershook.

Very weird feeling and hope we dont feel one of thos again for while

We brought parker home friday finally at 5:00 in the afternoon, and he is doing great.

I will post the results of hte pool and somepics shortly.

Thank you everyone for all your prayers and thoughs, it means alot to us.

Fauntleroy, Mrs, Fauntleroy and baby Fauntleroy.

Oh yeah, on Monday, Parker was crying because he wanted DW's magic juice, and he sounded just like donald duck when he is throwing a fit, it was perfect and i almost started to cry, DW was laughing so hard, because of how it sounded, she said oh no another donald duck lover.
