Baby Einstein Refunds

Anyone else hear that Disney is giving Baby Einstein video refunds. I was just reading about it on huffingtonpost. Apparently because the videos don't make babies smarter we're entitled to a refund. Disney will refund $15.99 each for up to 4 videos per household.

Now I have probably 20 of these videos. I received them as gifts and found a bunch on ebay. My first DS LOVED them. I didn't care if they were making him smart or not. It was nice to put on a video while I cooked dinner or just needed a quick breather.

My 2nd DS wants nothing at all to do with TV. So I think that I'm going to send 4 of my videos back to Disney. I can put that $64 towards christmas shopping.

Where did you hear this? It sounds like a hoax.

I'm surprised.

If every company issued refunds for misleading claims, there would be a lot more bankruptcy in the U.S.! A lot of misleading going on hence, Consumer Reports and the like. We have a few Baby Einstein products. (I never bought into the "smarter" concept.) I liked some of the products. It sounds like you have a lot of their products. They aren't cheap, that's for sure.

Anyway, just some random thoughts.

if this is the case then i want a refund from the 'once upon a potty' video producers. neither version worked with my kids-the only thing they learned from it was to bend over, point to their tush and repeat the lines from the video 'and this is where poo-poo comes out'.

I'm surprised too. I LOVE Baby Einstein and I don't think it's necessary that they offer refunds...however, since they are I'll bite. I'm sure the money I receive back will just purchase other Disney items anyway.
